  1. Average diner food, I used to come here when I lived by Sunset and would get the salad with a side of french fries. Satisfying meal but nothing special. The service is ok, some waiters'waitresses were nice the time I went and some were a bit slow.

  2. I love this place for one thing.  Well really 2 things,  their hamburgers, and vanilla milkshakes.   This place is like a throwback to the old malt shop.
The milkshakes have a touch of sweetness that can't be matched anywhere.  I've ordered from here for over 10 years and the quality has remained the same!

Quality food,  Quality service, and a very wide delivery range.  The burger is about as big as your face, and always cooked to perfection.   For some reason, I can NOT eat these things slowly.  At only 7.50 for the deluxe, it includes thickly cut and clean fries that are perfect with ketchup.  Try it.  (see pic)   Try delivery, or stop in if you're in the Sunset park area.

  3. I came here for brunch, with a group of friends. The waiter told us to grab a table, so we grabbed a table towards the back of the diner. We sit, made our orders. I ordered pancakes with sausage links and toast. We wait and wait. I also ordered a coffee, and waited once more. The coffee was bland my pancakes were undercooked and my sausage links were hard as rocks,(get your mind out da gutter, perves). Thank God for toast and butter, cause I did not enjoy my first visit to this place. The customer service was slow, the food sucked. Never again will I return to this place.

  4. George's is your typical neighborhood diner. I am from the area so I have eaten here on mnay occassions over the years, but they are a secondary choice because they are overly expensive. For instance, I got two eggs with cheese on a roll with fries and that came out to almost $15 plus the delivery fee. I found that to be extremly excessive, but i had no choice but to pay it.

They have a decent menu, they accept cards unlike Sunset Diner and Donuts and they are somewhat prompt. The staff is courteous but is sometimes a bit crowded on weekends…i guess that is to be expected. Another plusis they have liquor here I had a white russian here on one occassion and it was decent

Overall, quality food, good service… just a bit pricey.

  5. I really don't understand why menus would say fresh squeezed lemonade and then the waitress would go over and use a mixer to bring powdered lemonade drink.

That really grinds my gears, tasted like crap kool aid mix. Then I ordered a chicken salad and the chicken is cold and dry like its been sitting there for a long time.

Whats is so hard about cooking a fresh boneless chicken breast and the bacon pieces was like a year old it was so rubbery.

This place really does not provide decent food for the price. When you charge Manhattan prices and serve sub par food that sucks.

Service was good, but I didn't come for the service. I came to eat, don't think this place is worth another visit.

  6. I've never physically dined in George's so I can't describe the dine-in experience.  I've only ever ordered delivery from here.  I'm a total sucker for a greasy spoon diner and George's hasn't disappointed me yet!  It's always best to order online from them.  The few times I've called to order I waited on hold for over 5 minutes or so.  That's a bit crazy.  The speed of delivery is a hit or miss.  A few times it was over an hour but today it was a little less than 30 minutes.  My absolute favorite thing from here is their Wacky Fries!!  I'm in love.  It's fries topped with yummy chili, jalapenos, melted cheddar cheese and sour cream.  It makes my taste buds dance.Their burgers are always spot on and cooked to order.  Love the cowboy burger with bacon, bbq sauce and cheddar.  They have a jalapeno and cheddar burger that is awesome as well.  Their panini's and specialty sandwiches are yum too.  I love that their fries are huge steak fries.  Highly recommend!

  7. I hit this place with 2 friends before work.  It is definitely an ordinary diner with the breakfast favorites. Eggs, Bacon, home fries  However, remember you're in sunset park so for all my southerners who want girts and beef sausage, they don't have that here.

Price is definitely right and it wasn't crowded during the breakfast hour. Not bad.

  8. Hmm, my first review using the new feature on the Yelp App! (Which is released to elites first) *snoody*

Always friendly service here, with fair prices. The lines can be somewhat long on weekends and especially so after the church next door gets out.

I have only come here for breakfast, their typical breakfast special is about 5$ including eggs, home fries, toast and coffee. The omelets here are good, my favorite diet-killer is the pizza omelet.
