“Having previously tried two Korean Fired Chicken joints (Bon Chon & Kyedong), I found Boom Boom to be the best out of the three.”
“Avoid the drumsticks as the flavor is mostly on the skin so once you get past it, it's just regular chicken drumstick meat.”

SO GOOD!! Best Korean chicken wings around. I prefer it over bon chon.
The Story: Boyfriend and I decided to come here for lunch this past Saturday before heading to the internet cafe down the block.
Food: We ordered a mixed 12 piece wing, drumlet and drumstick combo. 1/2 spicy and 1/2 mild and a order of fried pork dumplings.
The dish came with pickled radish. I did not care for the mild flavor as I think peck peck and bonchon had better flavored soy garlic. Their spicy, however, was the bomb!
Price: I think the price is fair for the amount of food we got. $35 between two people with drinks.
Decor: Very "cafeteria" feel.
Service: Only one lady in the front to take all orders.
Parking & Finding the Place: It's paid parking but there is a municipal lot across the street.
Additional Thoughts:
Absolutely love this place! The downside? Delivery is highly limited, but I guess that's normal for NJ. The spicy drumsticks are cooked to perfection & the radish is a great pallette cleanser. Highly recommended.
Got take out. Drumsticks with the mild sauce and French fries. We def recommend you to call ahead and order via phone (20 min prior to pick-up), so you're not sitting there waiting.
The drumsticks were super crispy on the outside and moist in the inside! I will prob get the spicy or the soy garlic next time. And holy crap, they give you a load of fries! They were pretty good. Not off the charts but a thumbs up! I was full after 3 drumsticks and stuffing my face with the fries.
Can't say much about the service since I wasn't the one who went to order but I was told it was good.
I'll have to come back and try the lunch specials. They have one for the weekend and weekdays.
So I have recently found my soul mate…….. and its in the form of Korean Fried Chicken!
Seriously I can't decide weather or not I love or hate my friend Christina for taking me here because I am absolutely addicted to this fried chicken I think about it all the time like a long lost lover.
We drove to Fort Lee and found parking on one of the side streets. Parking can be a little tricky around here but there are plenty of parking meters on the side streets.
We arrived inside where the girl at the counter knew my friend Christina from how many times she comes here. For my first time coming here I let my friend order us up some deliciousness and we ended up getting the A large which is the fried chicken combo with wings, drumsticks and arms and we got the half and half (spicy and mild), and a order of large fries. The chicken takes about 20 mins to cook because everything is fresh and made to order so we walked around the area and stopped in at some bakeries. After about 15 mins we walked back to boom boom and our chicken was ready. We grabbed a table, some hot sauce, drinks and got down and dirty in these sticky wings. The sauce on the chicken is addictive with a sweet and salty flavor really coming through, the chicken was fried to perfection and amazingly juicy. The fries were some of the best I have ever had, crispy and amazing. All the chicken is served with pickled radish which tasted like coleslaw to me and really helped to relieve the spiciness of the chicken.
What I really like about this chicken is it isn't greasy and doesn't leave you feeling sluggish after eating it. I love it so much I went to check out the other location in Rutherford the next day with some of my other friends.
All I'm saying is if you haven't tried Korean fried chicken get your ass there now! What the hell are you waiting for???
Sorry Bon Chon, I'm a Boom Boom girl from now on. Same price point at both places for a large box of Korean fried chicken. The coating is more layered and crispy and bit oilier but oh so good.
Woo hoo! Found a new fav fried korean chicken place. We used to love going to Bon Chon but they are kind of pricey. The chicken at this place tastes very similar to Bon Chon and perhaps even a little better since they are more garlicky.
They are also way cheaper than Bon chon. This is my new fav place.
The fried chicken is awesome here. You really can't go wrong with getting their spicy popcorn chicken unless you know have an addictive personality…..cause they got the best popcorn chicken I have ever had. It's hard for a fried chicken spot to set it self apart from the other fried chicken spots in Fort Lee. You can compare having to pick a fried chicken spot in Fort Lee to living in Germany and have to select from BMW, Benz , or an Audi.(just my opinion) . I haven't been to a fried chicken spot in Fort Lee where it's already been cooked and sitting there waiting to be selected, the chicken is made fresh to order, so be prepared to wait. It's definitely worth it!
Back to Boom Boom Chicken they just renovated the interior, its decent now to dine in here.
When it comes to service I have had one bad experience here but service is usually good….and who cares if you are carrying out.. the taste is well worth it.
