The beer in here is s good, like really good compare to some of the local beers I had in the city.
Good place to watch euro 2016. Will come back again for other games.
Atmosphere was electrifying,
with crowds cheering and the British commentators from the TV – great overall
I love German restaurants and at every opportunity I like to explore new ones. Well, this one had 5 star ambiance, 5 star drinks but food was not as good as other places. Food was very decent but I had better ones. That is the only reason I do not rate this place as 5 stars. Other than that everything else was fantastic
I came here for a work event and they served everything family style. The beer there is pretty good, considering how I don't usually drink beer. The bartenders were very friendly and the crowd there's pretty chill. My friends and I talked to this guy who told us to check out his girlfriend's gallery showing next door. In terms of food, my favorite were the pretzels that they served us. However, everything else was super salty…I wanted to enjoy it but I couldn't get over the saltiness of it.
So I went to this German beer bar and ordered cocktails. But wait, hear me out. They actually have really good cocktails. Or at least, their Negroni is excellent. And I was acting in solidarity with my friend who couldn't drink beer for health reasons. So really, I'm the hero of this story.
Anyway, Paulaner is cool. They have sidewalk seating out front, they have a whole dining room to the side, and an event space somewhere downstairs. To get happy hour pricing, you need to sit at the bar though. HH ends at 7, but the cocktail of the day is all night long and is a ridiculously good deal at $8.
Didn't try any of the food, but would definitely come back to try it.
They were blasting some rocking 80 jams, including a disproportionate amount of Bryan Adams. According to our receipt, our bartender (who was a cool guy) was also named Brian. Coincidence? Probably.
We came here for a friends 30th and Paulaner hooked us up! The space was great, as was the service! They kept several servers on us so they brought all the food and beers at once it was very organized and impressive! We really enjoyed all of the food! I'll let Alex be the judge of the beer, I enjoyed whatever he ordered for me… As you can see I don't even know what type of beer it was so it's not really my area of expertise 😉
I really liked the exposed brick and modern feel of the decor. It is very spacious and it wasn't too loud at all. Not your average beer garden.
So-so experience.
Beers are pretty good. Paulaner is a large German Brewer so even though the beer is made at this brewpub is pretty similar to the stuff they make in Germany (and you can buy elsewhere). But they do make a few unique ones.
Service at the bar, on a slow night, was not great. Took forever to get a beer sampler and then my food arrived cold and the bartender never gave me silverware. He was a bit too busy chatting with regulars. He did offer me a free beer and apologized when I told him the food was cold.
And the "paulaner" sausage was disappointing. Supposed to have cheddar in it but only a tiny little bit.
Came here for Monday night trivia between 7 – 8:30. Its a really well designed restaurant, will definitely come in for a Germany soccer match. Its a Bayern bar, if you are looking for fellow fans. Really fun trivia night, they brew their own beers and serve in classic steins.
This place was pretty fun. Lots of space. If you have a large group it's good to hit up because there are long tables that were mostly empty on a Friday night. It's a beer hall and it's what you would expect but who can say no to in house made beer sold by the liter for $16. I didn't try the food but it's German food.
