Chinese fast food at its best! Triple Z serves fresh and delicious fast food at an amazing price and generous portion. It was worth the drive to this part of Brooklyn Ctown to taste real authentic and crispy roast pork, chicken, duck and endless other made-to-order dishes. Some would say it's even better than the ones in Manhattan-LES or Queens-Flushing Ctown. It's true, I can attest to that and it's an absolute value meal!
I've been coming here for a few years now and I've ordered many rice dishes over time. I've had take-out dishes such as the gumbo over rice, roast pork over rice, roast pig over rice, soy sauce chicken over rice, beef and tomato over rice, beef with egg sauce over rice and a number of different congees as well. Let me just say, ALL of those dishes have never disappointed! The quality of all of their meats are excellent and the rice dishes are packed to the brim, which is perfect for my appetite.
With all that said, I'd like to give a special shout out about their congee because it is some of the best congee I've tried anywhere, including Chinatown. I usually get the peanut or egg congee, which are silky smooth. The congee is salted really well and they add enough of the other ingredients to make it worth every dollar you spent.
As for the restaurant, it's pretty small, but the fact that it never gets crowded almost always guarantees you a seat here.
I came here for a family dinner and it was pretty good.
The restaurant was full by the time we got there so the owner suggested that we can go next door to the bakery and they will set up tables there for us since they owned the bakery also.
We didn't want to wait so we agreed to go next door.
Their food was delicious but their service was a bit slow. We had to ask for water and cups several times before they gave it to us.
But I will come back and hopefully the service would be better the next time.
The roast duck pork chicken anything up front is delicious. Cha siew is the way to go. Not sure if they sell the yellow orange giant squid but that's great too. Anything chopped up. Be sure to have extra soy sauce and scallion and ginger sauce!!
As for the other stuff, I wouldn't really eat here. I've had the hot and sour soup and it's weird stuff, nothing like the cheap ones at smaller Chinese restaurants that I enjoy more.
Did I mention this place is really tiny? And usually empty. You can see why.
Horrible. I can't even understand how they are still open… food is nasty and it's like a near by place you need to eat cause there is no where else. If I want cold and nasty food I will this will be a top priority place to go….. My girlfriend even found long blonde hair in her food…..
This is a great place to get roast duck and other Chinese barbecue items. Other great foods were their stir fry dishes. My family always goes here for the duck when we get our neighbors food in exchange for them always giving us fish. I feel like so many takeout places in LI do that too lol. They exchange Chinese food for fresh fish. It's interesting.
I've been here several time for lunch and dinner. Their food are alright, okay in size proportions but sometimes their food can be really oily and/or salty. But it's quick and cheap so if you want some quick decent Chinese food, this is your place.
I ordered the noodles with roasted duck (on the side). It comes with two choy sums (vegetable). The roasted duck was warm and the skin was crunchy. However, there wasn't much meat, a lot of skin and bones. It was pretty filling for $5.00, can't really get that anywhere else.
My mom ordered the tofu and fish rice. It wasn't the fresh tofu it was bean curd. The sauce was so salty so the fish and the rice with the sauce were all salty. However the bean curd was not and didn't have much taste inside. But it was a big plate with a lot of rice so once again, it will fill you up. This was also $5.00.
So our bill came out to be $10.00. That is some cheap lunch for two people and we were really full.
Like I've mentioned, it's quick, decent taste wise and large portions and cheap so I will definitely keep eating here whenever I feel lazy and want some quick food.
been coming here for years. for ave u, i personally think this place serves the best chinese food.
my favorites: bbq chicken wings, salt and pepper fried lamb chops, and their haw fun.
seating is limited and there's always a line for take out. great service!
