When you enter you will be greeted by Zahir who has the best teeth and smile I've seen in awhile. His smile is so welcoming you'd believe he's welcoming you to his dinner table. Very warm and patient.
The table has lovely fresh flowers which adds a touch of class and personality. We ordered our food and to my surprise they gave us a few items on the house to try. Our entrée came out smelling delicious, the Nan was warm with fresh pieces of garlic on it. The curry tastes absolutely amazing, the rice was cooked to perfection yesterday and today. Everything is made to order so it's fresh!
Our service was great from the start to end. I must say I raved about the food and the quality of seasoning used and it is definitely an authentic Indian restaurant.
When you're finished with your meal you will be asked by Zahir if you enjoyed your meal, and then he will thank you again for your business. What a way to stay open. The quality of service is excellent. And it's super clean. The restrooms are clean as well. Be sure to stop by and thank me later.
I will preface this review by saying, yes, I was asked by the waiter to give a five star review, BUT I wouldn't if I didn't think it was warranted. Here are my reasons why I think this place actually does deserve five stars.
Let's start with the food. The chana saag was absolutely delicious and the best I've ever had. The biryani was wonderful also, and a little less buttery than average, which is my preference. The prices can't be beat for the amount and quality of the food. My girlfriend and I were also given a free bread and dip appetizer and rice pudding dessert. The rice pudding was bomb, and we both ate all despite being incredibly full.
The second reason why I am giving five stars to this restaurant is the quality of the service. Our waiter was incredibly accommodating when we asked for the spice ingredient in the biryani to be put on the side so my girlfriend and I could share (she's not a fan of heat). He was also incredibly sweet and anticipated our needs, staying on top of refills, etc.
Finally, this restaurant is spotlessly, sparkling clean! It was a great environment to have a meal in and honestly not what I was expecting given most of the establishments around it.
