  1. The ambience is sleek and clean. The bathroom was also very well kept and polished. Food was great, I had the mac and cheese. What my issue was the bodyguard. There was one day I wanted to see the place because it never look opened and as I opened the door the body guard jumped at me. So, if anyone is coming to the place, no sneakers females, and no jeans men.

The drinks are pricey and well nothing to invest in. I've been to many lounges in the city and in Long Island and I feel like it should not be that much especially in Rosedale.

  2. Upscale dinning….in Rosedale! Yes I said Rosedale!

I bookmarked Pa-Nash Wednesday morning and was sitting in the restaurant that evening. Reading 4 and 5 star review after review I had to come check this spot out.

Upon entering we were immediately transferred from a block consumed with corner stores, chicken spots and a library to a chic, stylish Moroccan haven. This restaurant/lounge is gaw-geous!!! From the color changing water display with Pa-Nash branding to the extravagant chandeliers in the dining room; You can tell the owner, Annette put much thought…and money into executing the design perfectly. I mean it did only take them what? 3 years! to renovate the space to her liking; it's only right the littlest details are acknowledged.

Unique EuroSoul is how the cuisine is described; A fusion of Moccorran/Mediterranean, Caribbean and Soul Food. They take pinches from each cuisine, some more than others, and create delicious, beautiful plates that will satisfy an array of palates.

We were greeted at the door and lead to a table for two. As we looked over the menu I noticed the music playing was very elevatorish, like some Kenny G; we quickly got over that as our waiter, Richard, came over and introduced himself. He also introduced the hostess that had just seated us and explained that he would be training her for the entire evening. I appreciated that (so I can't be too harsh with my opinions on service) but it was a long wait for our drinks. We were the only patrons in the restaurant, besides the owner eating at a back table and I felt we should have gotten our drinks in a more timely manner. I saw the bartender start my drink but she ended up waiting for Richard to come back before she poured the champagne; I guess he was training more than one person that day. The hostess turned assistant waiter was a bit too attentive as well. I know, she's new but I caught myself saying "No were fine, thank you for asking" way too many times.

We received a break down of some cocktails and a few menu items but I wanted to take advantage of their Happy Hour specials. I asked Richard for more details and he informed me Happy hour drinks weren't on the drink menu and consisted of bottom shelf liquor; I figured that was the case but the manner he said it in made me feel like I deserved better. Lol I went with the Ginger Basil Bellini (ginger liqueur and champagne with a fizzing sugar cube) and my friend ordered the Vieques Storm. My friend enjoyed his drink and my bellini was delicious! It was $13 though….yes, $13 for a bellini! Thats expensive!!! I made sure next round I got a $10 glass of Moscato.

Food wise we stuck to apps; My friend ordered the Pan seared Maryland crab cake ($12), which was delightful. Slightly crisp on the outside with a melt in your mouth crab filling, seasoned just right with an accompanying sauce (I believe it was some sort of mustard). I went with 2 for $15 apps, Three Cheese Penne Mac and Cheese Roll and Honey Garlic wings. The portions are small for the price (regular pricing is $10-$15 for apps) but the food quality is better than your neighborhood restaurant. The wings were very fresh and tender with a nice char on the outside. The honey garlic sauce they were marinated in gave them a nice mix of flavor. The mac and cheese roll was ok but the sauce that was drizzled over it made it memorable. A fig and balsamic vinegrette mix worked oh so well to compliment the saltiness of the cheese. When bitting into the roll, the cheese gave good stretch too which is mandatory for me concerning my level of mac and cheese enjoyment.

After paying, I asked Richard if he could show us the lounge/downstairs area and he was more than happy to do so. The lounge area can accommodate up to 80 people and is available for private events. I was told they also have their own events; Friday and Saturday night parties, Karaoke, Comedy night, open mic etc. Karaoke was supposed to be last night but I don't think it's every week (I'll try and clarify that on my next stop in). It's a great use of the space and I am looking forward to dropping in on a friday/saturday night to check out the scene. Oh they also do brunch on Sundays at 11am, I'm interested to see whats on the menu.

  3. The food here is very good, the drinks are amazing and the service is great as well. It is in a strange area, but once you go inside you would feel like you are in a ncie restaurant/lounge in the city. I had the shrimp and lobster pasta which was great, my friends had the lamb and the cornish hen. I tried both and both were great. We had the jerk shrimp appetizer which was also very good. The dessert (coconut red velvet cake) I was not too crazy about. One thing that does bother me about this place are its limited hours, closed both Sunday and Monday, I was tight as I tried to go there both days, something told me to check online before I went LOL. Also, I think they need to dim the lights just a tad, it was too bright in there. I am eager to see the changes they make over the next few months, but I will be back.

  4. This was a fun place to go.  It looks like a lounge bar.  The servers were very friendly.  The food was great.

  5. I came to this place today for dinner. It was empty when we arrived by 6:15pm. We received excellent service from the moment we walked in. I can't remember our waitress name but she was excellent. Keep up the good work. The bartender was nice too. And the owner checked in on us to make sure the service was good.

Besides the great service the food was good. We started with the 2 for $15 appetizers; Mac and cheese roll and chicken wings. The rolls were well done; had the perfect amount of cheese. I didn't have the chicken wings it Smelled good!!!

For entrees I had the coconut Salmon with rice, spinach and carrots. I love seafood and this was delicious. Seasoning was excellent.

I enjoyed myself and recommend everyone who lives in the area to go. Great service! Great food! Elegant atmosphere!

  6. Went for brunch around 11:30am on Easter Sunday. There was only 1 other table occupied with 2 people so I was a little skeptical that it may not be that good. We were greeted right away and seated. Overall the decor is very nice and it looked very clean well kept. The lights were very dimmed, too dimmed even for dinner hours. I would definitely reccommend they make it more bright for the daytime hours.

The breakfast menu was prefix about $20 pp and includes a complimentary mimosa or juice. We had the parfait which took a while to come so the waitress gave us a complimentary juice to compensate which was good customer service.  The parfait was good but a tad too sweet, it didn't need so much honey. The French toast was good. The eggs were overcooked and too salty. The bacon was too salty.  Overall I may return again for dinner, but not for brunch.

There aren't too many – honestly barely any nice restaurants in southeast queens so this is a nice hidden addition and why I'm willing to give it another chance.

  7. The inside of this place totally looks like it should be in Manhattan instead of Rosedale, but it was a nice surprise. I came for happy hour with my boyfriend a few weeks ago. We had the macaroni and cheese rolls which came out with a strange black sauce that really annoyed me, but they were good after scraping it off. We also had two different times of wings, one was really good and one was "ok". The drinks were awesome and the bartender was such a nice guy. I wish I could remember his name, I just remember that he was West Indian and super friendly. He had just started working there and was already very knowledgable about the restaurant and the style of food on the menu. He invited us back for karaoke night and let us know they have another level where they host parties. i wasn't completely impressed by the appetizers but I would come back to try dinner if that bartender is still there!
