Really good soup base broth and really good meats like the beef slices, but wayy too thinly sliced for my preference that it shrinks up like crazy. Extremely horrible service during a not so busy time for them and overly frozen fish tofus with small skimpy portions of food while on the much pricier side. Eh, maybe I went on a really off day…
This place, was just too expensive for what I received. I am a firm believer of getting what you pay for so I never mind paying more. But the quality, was just okay. Service was way too slow.
Yes items were fresh but to be honest nothing incredibly special. It should be fresh! Items were average and provided in SMALL portions.
Broth was pretty good.
There's off-street parking, but good luck trying to get one of those spots. You're better off coming here via the 7 train! After a long day of traveling, my SIL, H and I wanted to bring take out up to our hotel room. H found this joint by walking up and down the street from our hotel. With the line, he thought the food must've been AMAZING.
H made a to-go order of fried rice, half a roasted peking duck and spare ribs. He also tried ordering crab rangoon, but the women stared at him like, "WTF is that?" AHAHA! S'ok. Next time, H! She gave us a wait time of roughly 20 minutes. After half an hour, she handed us our food.
After a 5 minute walk to our hotel, we opened our take out boxes to find our food completely unsatisfactory. The duck and rice were lukewarm. The beef was completely COLD. I couldn't believe we paid $28 for horrible food.
STAY AWAY!
This is by far, my absolute favorite hotpot restaurant of all times. Though the service can be a little on the slow side sometimes, that doesn't bother me because the soup bases they give us is so delicious. The food is fresh, and the watermelon juice can not get any better. The prices are a bit high, but the food definitely makes up for everything they lack.
They were able to put together the tables and accommodate my party of 9 on a Saturday night without a reservation. This place was nicely renovated. Everything looked fairly new. Each table was equipped with an Ipad. We opt to get the split pot of the spicy and the milky herbal broth. Shortly after they bought over a complimentary veggie platter. This is not an AYCE place. It's by a la carte. Very small meat portions and they were sliced very thinly. They gave us a pitcher of beer that wasn't even cold. The sauce station was kind of small and by the time I got to it most of the sauces were empty. I really want to like this place because they actually have the best broth. But I got a stomachache shortly after I got home.
Not great, just A-OK.
The menu is abundant and the items are quite pricey for the amount you get, but in the end it is just ok. Nothing amazing, nothing bad nothing good..
Not much to say as you can see, but just another chinese hot pot place.
good serive
cheap and delicious.
definitely recommend
Pretty decent hot pot experience.
We didn't have to wait for a table on Saturday night. Prices were comparable to other restaurants and they had a good array of sauce options.
The service was a bit lacking the night that we went. I wasn't sure if it were just the night that we went but the waiters seemed swamped and didn't have enough time for each table.
This is a good place for a slow, long meal to catch up with friends because they didn't rush us to finish. If you don't know Chinese specifically Mandarin, it may be hard to order here because the waiters knew very little English.
