Diners are hard to come by in Boston, so I appreciated having this place in the neighborhood where I was staying. I hadn't had a bialy in years and forgot how good they were! Paired with a Swiss and mushroom omelette and potatoes, I was a happy camper.
Waking up from a sweet slumber in the Heights, breakfast with one highly desirable of delightfully sweet alluring always remarkable.
Vicky's Diner is quaint dining room but emits homemade cooking to welcome patrons. A breakfast sandwich for this juicy sweetness replenish my liveliness while home fries, bacon, toast and eggs holds solid substance for definitive underwriting for my delightful. Though our meal was small but plentiful to warm our heart's core, Vicky's staff do not usher patrons out the door in need of empty tables for incoming patrons.
Where we desired more than a spoonful for our hot teas and water, our server gladly projected a smile to fill our cups that we are never dry!!
Service is attentive though with a very visible weary vibe from life's daily grind of the daily deal, thus not sprightly eager to serve patrons.
This is a good local diner. I wouldn't say you go out of the way for this place, but if you are in the area, it's a good greek diner with decent prices.
How do I put this politely.. the staff sucks. guess there's no sugar coating that. The old guy is kinda grumpy, but somehow I have managed to stay away from his grumpiness when I'm there. I've seen him talk badly to other customers, but nothing too crazy.
