Newly opened little sheep in the heart of Chinatown. I've been anticipating its doors to finally open!
I'm appalled that there was no sauce station as compared to the Flushing location. I had to ask for the sauce-BBQ sauce, cilantro, soy sauce, etc. The waitress said that the broth was already flavorful. However, when you hear the word hotpot, sauce must be involved!
I got the half/half broth. It was flavorful indeed and spicy was not overpoweringly spicy which was good. The meat options ranges from $7-15 per dish and the veggies around $2-$5. I don't remember how much were the others but since it's not AYCE come prepared with a credit card/cash.
I ordered fatty beef, fresh shrimp paste (pretty good), baby bok choy, fish roe balls, wintermelon, fish fillet (fresh and thinly sliced without bones).
Overall, food is decent and pretty fresh. Except for the veggies where the sand/dirt was not completely washed off. The food came out pretty quickly but I wish the veggies were completely washed and inspected thoroughly before being brought out to the table. Inside the restaurant is pretty clean.
