  1. Just finishing eating half of a Flamin Tuna burrito without the beets and have to say that I'm a fan.

I walked to Urbanspace from work for the first time. It's like an amusement park for foodies. I want to try every stand.

I had already read some reviews and had made up my mind to try the Flamin Tuna Sushi Burrito. It took me all of a slow 3 min to find it, as I was checking out the donuts, got stuck behind an overwhelmed lost person, and then, as if I was in Port Authority, tried to figure out if I was standing in the right diagonal line. I was! score.

There were 3 people in front of me so my experience was quick. I ordered the Sushi Burrito with no beets. I'm ordering it without cucumbers next time too because I don't like them. I wish I'd read the menu more clearly. I also decided to try the matcha green tea even though I had no idea what it was.

The green tea is a cold, delicious tea. Really amazing. It looks healthy, so I'm hoping it is 🙂

I sat at my desk, sipping my tea as I admired their fancy hexagonal box and tried to figure out how I was supposed to open the damn thing. I cracked open the sticker and poured some of the spicy mayo I'd requested on the side. YUMMM so good. It honestly hit the spot for lunch. I've saved half of it. The spicy mayo was def. the way to go.

I def. want to try out more of the places in Urbanspace, but I know Hai Street Kitchen will be a repeat.

  2. The sushi burrito is a great idea, but Hai Street Kitchen aren't the only ones who can make it. I think the burritos here are overpriced and mediocre in taste.

  3. My first sushi burrito and it was okay. There wasn't too much salmon in the roll. That was the main critique. Other than that, it's a big portion and I paid $13 for the slamming salmon burrito.

  4. So obviously the whole sushi burrito concept IMO is a bit of a stretch because sushi as we know it is an art and is known for their quality even if it is small in proportion so having it twisted into a massive burrito, you'll probably be disappointed. But if you're up to trying the Asian flavors in a burrito, a sushi burrito from here is quite tasty. I had the Flamin' Tuna and I enjoyed all the ingredients incorporated in it. Like what other Yelpers mentioned in their reviews, there was a lot more veggies than the fish, but I find that it didn't diminish on the flavor of the whole burrito, instead, it had the right crunch, sweet, and overall good combo. And the price is a bit high, $13 for my Flamin' Tuna. Oh and it can get quite messy at the ends of the burrito if they didn't roll it up tight enough.

I was a bit disappointed in their service, they forgot my order or they gave my order to someone else. Like obviously I'm the only one still in the waiting area and people that ordered after me are getting their orders already. I get it that I came during the lunch rush, but come on, I shouldn't have waited 15 minutes for my burrito. The employees here need to be on top of things more, therefore the 2 stars for this place.

  5. We went to the new Hai Street Kitchen in Urban Space and as I have learnt now, if it's new there'll be a queue! As yet sushi burritos are not available in Manchester UK so I was very excited about this!

There are 5 choices – Hai Street Chicken, Flamin' Tuna, Turnip the Beet, Ho-Lee-Shrimp, and Slamin' Salmon. We went for the tuna and saw that it was big enough to share between two for a light lunch. Just like a burrito place, the wrap is a sheet of nori with rice already spread in it, then they top it with raw tuna, spicy sauce and lots of fresh salad and roll it up! It comes packed in a cute hexagonal cardboard tube, handy for taking it over to the park or back to the office!

The burrito was indeed very filling – and I only ate half! It was essentially a giant tuna maki with delicious hot sauce and crunchy pickled veg. I'd definitely recommend this if you want a filling sushi meal that's handy and not messy to eat!

  6. Home of the Sushi Burrito's!

Their vege to fish ratio is just right, and their beets, carrots, and cucumber are julienne so nothing falls out when you take a bite!  Their fish is marinated and flavorful and they use REAL chunky avocado salsa, not the pre-packaged mashed stuff.
Keep in mind the rolls aren't spicy even though here's a spicy pepper next to it.  It's just the gochujang sauce that gives it a slight kick.  It's just the right amount of spiciness, but not wasabi burn your nose hairs spicy.

Service is fast so don't be discouraged by the long line.  They can also customize for you if you need!

  7. When I came on a Sunday at lunch time, there was no line. I got the salmon one and they were able to take credit card for payment. $13, a little steep but whatever, I figured, that's what you pay for the "in" food at the moment. The staff were all super friendly and easy to talk to.
My food came out nice, fast, and pre-packaged for me.
When I finally found a spot to sit down in the shade to eat it, it was mostly vegetables. The salmon was fresh and delicious (wish there was a little more of it). But … at the same time, I appreciated the large quantity of veggies that make it much healthier.

I may not be rushing to eat it again but … I think everyone should try it at least once!!! And it's quite filling!

  8. If this was about 5 dollars cheaper I would give it another star. But $15 for a regular sushi burrito is just way too expensive. There is nothing special about this place and the fish is as fresh as your typical sushi takeout place. The burrito isn't bad but just not worth the price.
