I've only ordered take-out, but there is an area to sit inside and eat. The space is pretty big. Food is good and I have never experienced an issue with my order. Delivery usually takes longer, but if you pick-up, it's no more than 20 minutes. Aside from their Chinese food menu, they offer a Thai menu as well. I've only had the Chinese food and can't complain. I love the fried dumplings and the sesame chicken! Portions are standard and prices seem pretty standard also. I will continue ordering from here & may even try their Thai options soon!
My family has been patronizing Empire East for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I didn't know too much better, but as I got older and experienced more authentic Chinese dishes in New York City, Empire East seemed kind of gross in comparison. Recently they did an overhaul of their menu, and the quality has improved significantly. Their once dull food is now more flavorful, of higher quality, and consistent each time it arrives at your doorstep (in a timely fashion no-less). It may not be authentic, but it's tasty.
Some good dishes at Empire East:
— Moo Shu Pork
— Chicken and Broccoli
— Orange Chicken
— Udon Noodle Soups
— Pork Dumplings (pan fried or steamed)
I used to dread a Chinese meal from Empire East back in the day, but now I look forward to it…in all it's less-than-before greasy glory.
Empire East is the holy grail of Pan-Asian foods. I am not exaggerating when I say I can have Empire East for break, lunch, dinner or even a snack. This is my staple must have when I am back at my parents house.
Starting from my wee years, prior to even the name of Empire East and their newer establishment, my dad took me to their other business just down a few stores in that Pergament Shopping Center. While I don't remember their old name, their quality of food and flavor is what made Empire East so successful.
Their menu is clearly labelled and colorful. As is their dining area. It's always very clean, with great lighting during all times of the day. Orders are very quick also. My favorites are the beef and broccoli or sesame chicken. Their little cartons of heaven also have no dividers, which means they are filled to the rim with food and no less. Each meal comes with rice (which includes pork, carrots and peas), soup, a drink and of course a fortune cookie all for under $10.
If I could, I would rate Empire East with a million stars! They never disappoint when I am home, their employees are also kind and welcoming and you really just can't beat their food. Kudos to Empire Easy opening another location on the opposite side of the island, can't wait to check out their facility as well.
This Place is AMAZING. I have eaten here several times and the food is top tier.
It seems like a factory, in that its so busy and large, but the food is excellent and plentiful.
Next time I am trying something from the Noodle Soup menu.
