A franchise located on NYU's campus that performs at a lower standard. Surprise surprise. I don't even know where to begin. The employees here do not know what the phrase "just a little bit" means. I don't want my food drenched in sauce just because you want to get to the next customer faster. This is ironic considering they are SO SKIMPY with practically everything else such as meat, rice, corn, and guac. Don't expect to get the same amount of food you would at any other location. This place is such a rip off.
As usual, the location definitely keeps the business alive but you might want to think twice about coming here. I get that Chipotle is Chipotle and when you're craving it, you have to have it, but I personally would go to another one given the opportunity. Once, I found a piece of avocado skin in my guac, but that can't be worse than the time my friend was given beans that were sour. SOUR BEANS? WHAT? I do everything I can to avoid this Chipotle and the only times I go are when I'm stuck at the library 4 blocks away and can't go to the one in Union Square or St. Marks. Proceed with caution here.
*** Standard Service, Decent seating ***
I enjoy coming here since it's so conveniently located to the N R subway stops. There was a shortage of carnitas for awhile, but it seems like it's back now for good! Standard service—although I've recently realized they've been really picky on serving size. Chipotle-just because I may look thin doesn't mean I can't eat a lot!!
Even though Chipotle charges extra for guac, I eat here.. ha
location specific
– need to ask cashier for bathroom keys
– limited seating
– popular when NYU is in session
It's chipotle. What else can I say? It's quick, delicious and filling. I love my burrito bowl with barbacoa. Sure there's probably better taco places out there, but for the price, portion and convinence? I like Chipotle. It's a chain, but you know you're not going to regret eating it
Healthy and fresh fast food. I can only speak for the vegan items but this place is a staple in the neighborhood. Also good for a quick bite before meeting friends for drinks. Countertops in the kitchen always look clean, no hidden messes around the edges getting overlooked and the staff is quite nice and friendly. It's an assembly line so know what you want and order pronto – there's always a line!
3-stars is about the highest rating I'm likely to give any Chipotle. So I'd rate them as good as this kind of thing gets for me.
Line was long, but went super quick. Staff has the assembly deal down to a science. Most were cordial, if not friendly. We were in an out with highly caloric food in our hands within a matter of minutes.
I will say, their chips aren't as good as the ones at the Chipotle on 56th & 6th. They just don't have that limey, salty zing. Two of us got chips at this location, and hers were flat on flavor, while mine were properly hopped up with salt. Neither had any lime flavor.
hungry? hungover? running on fumes? thank the Lord for Chipotle.
there is no more a welcome sight when you're hungover from Sunday DRUNCH and it's only like 5 pm. need that carb/protein/cheese/guac soakage of sweet Sunday boozin' and you're on 8th street. then park it at Chipotle.
as Sunday sunlight lit my path from West Village spirits to Chipotle…i rejoiced in knowing that a $ burrito would do my body good.
the consistency of Chipotle is why i enjoy eating there–even in a post-drinking stupor.
the simple assembly line of friendly Chipotlers is always a welcoming experience.
my go-to is a burrito or burrito bowl (this time a burrito): carnitas + cilantro lime brown rice + pinto beans + salsa + sour cream + romaine lettuce + cheese + guacamole ($1 extra). the talented burrito folders origami'ed the overstuffed burrito with ease.
the staff is super friendly, works quick, and always is up for putting together monstrous burrito creations.
the food/cashier is tucked in the back of the restaurant. the rest of the space is a variety or seating and table options for small or big groups.
of course, Mr. Pibbs is on tap here! LOVE IT!
i may have savaged my burrito before even making it to the front entrance. BEAST MODE!
drops mic so i can two-hand this burrito that is splitting at the seams.
i out.

Pretty ok as far as Chipotles go. The NYU proximity makes it more likely to run out of certain things at night. And near impossible to sit unless it's the off hours.
