“The 3 hour open bar for $30 a person is as good a deal as it gets.”

“As frustrating as it was, I like that there's an underground following for this often-missed private party space on 2nd ave.”

“I had a specific playlist for the party on my own iPod, so I was able to play it with no problems.”

  1. Standard Irish pub with a second floor for performances. Upstairs, a tall dude bartender likely not hired for his mixology skills poured me a pretty sad excuse for a Guinness. For better beers, head downstairs, where you can get some decent, if unsurprising, taps–Goose Island, Blue Moon, etc.

Crowd seemed to be stolidly yuppie from the Murray Hill/Kips Bay community. There's a pool table with darts in the back on the ground floor. You can certainly do worse in the Irish Pub category, but you can doubtlessly do better (Molly's).

  2. Came here late one night with friends.  It was pretty quiet for a Friday night, I thought.

The drink I got was okay.  The pub ended up being a good place to sit and talk, since we didn't have to yell over people (since there were none….).

  3. An Irish bar staffed by an Irish bartender. I use to come here for free wings on Monday's when they had NFL games going on. Now, I hear the wings aren't free anymore. Too bad. It was good while it lasted. Many regulars here that just sit around drinking alone. You also get a lot of douchebags here come late at night. I would come back again probably since their prices are reasonable and they are close to my place.

  4. I came here for a going away party- and was surprised by:

    1. The live DJ was great! I danced up a storm (yes I was one of the two people that were randomly dancing in an Irish bar)
    2. The drinks were good (and cheap). My friend wanted a.. margarita (I know I know).. and the bartender was happy to make it. I paid for my drink and hers and had to double check that he was charging me for both because it was SO cheap
    3. There are plenty 'o places to sit

    Overall- a great time!

  5. Best appreciated during the winter time as they have a large warm cozy fireplace. Also a great place to host a casual party. I've attended a friend's going away where we had the back area (near the pool table) to ourselves. The bartenders are really good. it can get cramped by the bar area but still easy to get a drink

  6. Came here in hopes of playing beer pong.  Hopes dashed.
Very bro-tastic scene,  it's been a while since I've seen so many popped collars and polos.
DJ was good,  music was dance worthy. Which was good because it was too loud to talk anyway.
Drinks were cheap and the bartender was attentive.
The place itself is filthy,  which is an understatement. I would hate to see what it looks like in daylight hours.
All in all it was okay,  but I probably won't go back.

  7. I came here the other night after Lehigh's big win against Duke.  While Lehigh didn't make it to the Sweet 16, it was fun to celebrate with my college friends and be at an Irish pub St. Patrick's Day wkend without it being absolutely mobbed.

  8. Pretty chill pub.

Come here around 3 am and there were a couple groups.

A ton of other groups showed up half an hour later which was surprising.

    Prices and service were ok.

I think this is a good place to end a night of bar hopping, if you are in midtown, as they stay open later than expected.
