This is a reliable, friendly, fast and affordable establishment, basically takeout but there are enough tables (extra points for being open until midnight.)
Strong items include singapore mei fun, wontons in spicy sauce, fried chicken and curry items. Roast pork with vegetables and shrimp with lobster sauce are solid although not much difference than anywhere else. The hot and sour soup is especially welcome if I have a cold.
I have no particular affinity for the ribs.
This is a chinese take out place, no doubt about it. I am writing a review because they have a really good roast pork egg foo young with brown gravy.
Lunch time calls upon something Chinese as it was a Chinese holiday — Mid-Autumn Festival 中 秋 節 Zung1 cau1 zit3 (Zhōng qiū jié).
One small order of Haa1 Lou1 Min6 (Shrimp Lo Mein) at $5.95 was mediocre as the shrimp was microscopic small and overloaded with too much cabbage for vegetable, at least the noodles itself was not entirely swimming with grease and oil. Overall quality of food was okay, nothing worth "ahh" nor wow about. Quality of food is not always consistent to be the same. My order is ready within ten minutes of cook prep time. Service is friendly. A microphone at the register calls out orders to the cook staff behind them. Minimal seating available and tables are not clean. I recommend eating at your workplace.
