Just what the neighbourhood needed, a CLEAN coffee shop! After passing it countless times on my way to the F train, I finally stoped in today for an iced coffee. My first impression was this little shop is very clean! This is key because in this neighbourhood, and especially on this street, cleanliness is lacking. I met Eric, the owner, who took my order and told me that I should recommend JES to my friends if I like it. I said, even better, I would yelp about it. So this it. The Iced coffee was good (even if a little strong for my taste) and the service was great. I like the fact that he did not fill the cup with ice. Instead, the actual coffee was ice cold, stored in the fridge, and then a few cubes were added…this is how to do it!
If you happen to live near or pass by, this is a great place to get a cup of coffee. My only slight criticism is, as a shop that specializes in coffee, they should have Sweet'N Low, not just Splenda. I will definitely be back and recommend you give it a try as well.
