This place gets a 5 out of 5 just for its mere existence. If you live around blu cafe, then you can truly appreciate this… since the closest coffee shop is at least a 15 minute walk. And sometimes, its nice to have an option other than a busy, crowded Starbucks.
I love studying at blu cafe. Free wifi. Good selection of hot and cold drinks, juices, muffins, cookies, and sandwiches. I have never had to wait for a table. Large windows allow for nice views of the river… or just people watching. The staff is friendly and fun. The music is awesome – good mix of pop and top 40. This is a great place to do work or meet up with a friend.
Whenever I'm in NYC I stay with my friend who lives a couple of blocks away. Can't believe its taken me this long to discover this place. It has a modern clean look and lots of light. The service was good and my muffin was delicious. Next time I'm in town I'm going to bring my laptop, enjoy some lunch and stay awhile longer.
Sure its off the beaten path but I think that's exactly why its the perfect location. Will definitely be back.
