Little Italy Pizza

“The UWS really needed an excellent restaurant that serves pizza by the slice or whole pies!”

“Right down street from hotel, very convenient, good location on Upper West Side!”

“It's thin, chewy, with the right amount of greasiness, not too doughy, and it seems to have gritty pieces of parmesan cheese covering it.”

  1. This is my go-to pizza place. Crisp, thin crust with deliciousness melting all over!!!! I love the cheese slice with chilled coke!! Marinara is my hubbie's fav. Garlic knots ade decent. If u r craving a real slice of pizza authentically NY kind??– u wanna stop by this place. The best part is tht it's 24 hrs so u never have to rush here!!!

  2. Good little pizza joint! They reheated the slices – pepperoni – and they were nice and crispy crust with a good cheese mix on top.

  3. Is there a reason why Italy is always referred to as little? As a country, it seems pretty decently sized. It doesn't make much sense to me, it's like saying tiny Texas or gigantic Rhode Island.

But I digress, this pizza parlor makes a great slice of pie. The gooey cheese to tomato sauce sauce proportion is similar to the golden ratio in nature. The crunchy crust is seasoned and is malleable enough to be folded. Service is quick and credit cards are accepted.

  4. I have been here quite a few times for a quick slice of pizza.  This is an excellent place for such for when I am looking for a quick snack.  I would go as far as saying that this ranks as the best place in Manhattan for pizza.

The name of the place can be confusing to non-New Yorkers and new New Yorkers.  Ironically, this place is no where near the Little Italy part.  Rather, it is in the Upper West Side.  That is in no means saying that the business needs to change their name.  This is saying that New York rookies should look at the address before making the mistake of going to the Little Italy part.

I love that the prices are so reasonable, considering the large size portions and the overall food quality.  There is nothing little about their servings, despite the name of the business.  Often, I get full by just one, sometimes two of their slices.  Their food is delicious!  It is always served to me hot and fresh.  I have never once been disappointed by their food.

The employees appear to have a good eye on cleanliness and order.  I have never seen any major problems with dirty tables, chairs, or floors.  They appear to stay on top of keeping the inside looking wonderful.  This applies to both the eating and the working area.  Therefore, I have always felt comfortable walking in here, sitting down, and eating a good pizza.

Every time I have been here, the employees have always been friendly and helpful.  I have been able to carry a good conversation with  some of them during their slow times.  They have always been resourceful with any questions that I may have.  I have never once had a problem with rude employees.

When I am in Manhattan and need a good pizza as a snack, I will continue keeping this place in mind.  I feel like I can count on them to continue amazing me.

  5. Very good new york city pizza. Their 2 slices and a drink special for $5 makes this place worth it, otherwise it gets pretty pricey starting at $3 a slice. Their stromboli was amaaaazing. it was large, and ooey gooey inside, filled with lots of sausage, pepperoni, broccoli and cheese! and the outside was crisp. not like there were certain parts that were crisp, it was all well crisped all around. perfect in each bite

  6. I really enjoyed the pizza.  The crust was nice and thin and the sauce was really tasty.   What's not to love?  I would eat here again.

  7. This place was heaven for a hungry tummy at 2am! My cheese pizza was piping hot and it was what I needed to go to sleep right after 🙂

  8. I'll be coming back for the great Sicilian slices and the cutie at the counter! But no really. This is great pizza with damn good crust. $2/slice with toppings.
