Luigi’s Pizzeria
“Being so close to Pratt, I'm glad Luigi's offers delicious pizza, perfect for a quick easy lunch, for a "bite to eat."”
“granted I'm simple and usually just get a plain slice, but a great plain slice is hard to beat!”
“It seems as a fresh pie for slices is always just coming out or just about to, so the chances of getting a fresh slice instead of a reheated one are considerably higher than average.”

Love this place. Pizza is consistently good. It's in a very convenient spot for me. You call and order and it's ready to pick up when I get there. The staff is always pleasant.
WOAH, where has this spot been?! Delicious gem in Clinton Hill! Wow! I've been missing out!
Not all pizza is the same! Usually, I settle for pizza almost anywhere when I have a taste for it. Some were good, some were bad, some were decent. Luckily I found this place! This was a great discovery.
I ordered the Margarita Pizza and Plain slices. The pizza is thin and crispy. The flavors are delicious. The pizza isn't doughy and oily like most pizzarias!!! Every thing is perfectly balanced! The crust is also crunchy! 10/10 recommend this place. Definitely recommend the Margarita Pizza. Will come again~.
Crunchy slide pizza , no tables for sitting but just at one corner from a garden sarah park 🙂
I decided to stop here for some lunch. This place is tiny more of take out place since there is no place to sit. I ordered two slices, a Sicilian and a regular drizzle with pesto. The Sicilian was good but nothing special, however the regular drizzle with pesto was delicious. The sauce, cheese and bit of pesto was the perfect combination. It was full of flavor and the crust was thin and crispy.

Four Stars
With 182 Reviews and 4.5 Star Yelp Rating, I had some high expectations. The place is a dollar slice type store. You can order from the outside counter or step inside when Weather decides to downpour. I had a fresh square. The crust was golden brown from a cast iron pan, buttery, chewy, but airy. The sauce had depth of flavor, heavy oregano and stewed tomatoes. The pineapple and bacon slice was a bit old. The crust was ultra thin and could barely hold the toppings. The bacon was greasy, and not crispy. The pineapples were sweet but straight from can.
All New York pizza places are about selection. I should have went with the fresh pepperoni.
The two Hispanic guys behind the counter were nice.
Seeing all of the good reviews this place got, I was baffled when I showed up there. In the dark and rain, I saw a man get a pack of beer from the convenience store next to it and bring it over to the guys behind the counter, and I thought to myself, "This place? This tiny, dingy little room?"
Make no mistake, this is a -room-. Cut in half by a counter, there's a place to stand, and on the other side, a place where they make the pizza, take your order, take your money. Standing room only every single day, so get ready to take your pizza and walk.
I was feeling extra hungry that day, so I went Sicilian-style, with thick, puffy crust. Two plain slices ran me $5.00, so the price was pretty average for a slice like that. Nobody said much to me, but I was offered a bag, which was appreciated (see: rain.) And then I started eating it. WOW.
What a slice of pizza, oh man. That thick crust, perfect. The sauce, it's got that taste of being somebody's grandma's and boy was it cooked and seasoned to perfection. I'm usually not even that into sauce, but this was some delicious sauce. And this cheese – real cheese! Real, hot, melty, delicious cheese – abundant without being overpowering. I was literally licking my lips hoping to find a missed bit of pizza after I finished, it was that good. It's a bit of a trek from my place, but I can definitely see myself making it for a product like this.
So Luigi's doesn't look like much from the outside – it's a little cubby sized pizza shop with a take out window and room for about 2 people inside. If you didn't know it was there you'd probably walk right by it.
This is a pizza shop you should visit though, b/c the guys inside are are putting out some stellar pizza pies.
I recommend the following slices:
– Regular Cheese – classicly made w/ sweet sauce and mozzerella.
– Sausage – w/ slices of sweet italian sausage.
– Ricotta – uber creamy w/ both ricotta and mozz and then sprinkled w/ basil. Yum yum and yum
– Buffalo Chicken – b/c its chicken, wing sauce and a drizzle of ranch. Duh,
Prices range from $2.50ish for a regular slice to $4 for a buffalo chicken. Both well worth the $$.
i need to try more of the pizzas. my margherita was good but not exceptionally flavorful. crust was crunchy, think and still doughy. i liked that the tomato sauce had chunks of plum tomato.
