Pizza is alright. They have a special where the cheese pizza slice is like $1 on some days. The crust was good but the guy barely heated it up because he was in such a hurry to serve as many people as possible. I hate cold pizza.
Meh, i've had better. The pizza is cooked right, but everything on top, not so much. Drunk this pizza is probably delicious, but sober, it's worth passing on. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch, not enough chicken, not enough tomato, not enough bacon. I actually barely tasted any chicken to be honest (and didnt see much either).
With so many other places, probably wont be coming back here.
Came in here after a night out. It was open and had a good yelp rating, so why not?
I mean, it was pizza. Nothing about it blew me away. I've had better, but on the other hand – it wasn't the worst I've had. The cheese was hot and the crust was crispy. It felt a little dirty in there (but that's probably just because it after hours on a Saturday night).
Yup.

NY Manhattan LES

Three Stars
I am not sure how this place has a 4.5 Star Rating on Yelp with 100+ Reviews–Drunk Yelpers? This is the first time, I have seen an over-inflated rating on Yelp in NYC. The place is just like every other dollar pizza place: small store front, cheesy sign for $1 pizza (until 7pm), 7 places to sit, an over-flowing trash can, and one guy making the pizza and handling the cash. I tried the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Pizza $3.5. I would stick with the dollar slice. The crust was cardboard-like with a bit of crunch. The ranch was creamy and had overwhelming herbal flavor. The Chicken was dry, and bacon was not really present. The cheese was okay. The pizza was not bad but nothing to go out of your way to eat.
Margherita pizza with basil. Pizza sauce was just sweet enough but the NY style thin crust is my favorite. Small but enough room to grab a slice, pull up a chair and enjoy and then be on your way.
Funny story about Stanton Pizza: I meant to go to a bar in the LES but turned around when I saw their line was too long and I was starving. So, my boyfriend and I just walked around and randomly found this gem. Little did we know it's one of the best pizza places in Manhattan we've tried.
My boyfriend was head-over-heels with their lasagna pizza. I got the usual margherita.
The funnier part of the story? The pizza was so good that, after we left, we turned around 10 minutes later to COME BACK and take more pizza to go.
I was impressed by the one man behind the counter doing everything by himself on a busy Saturday night. I also appreciated the Italian mafia posters on the walls – as a fan of The Godfather and Goodfellas, it's nice when you see your favorite movie characters staring back at you while you enjoy the most scrumptious pizza ever had.
This was definitely my second favorite pizza place on my last pizza adventure. I went with the sausage and pepperoni, which was overloaded with meat and cheese. Just how I like it lol. It was a bit greasy, but nothing the good old pat and dry can't cure. This place is TINY, so be prepared to grab your slice and go. Unless you are there when I was and no one else is there. The best thing about this place may be all of their crazy flavors of pizza like bruschetta. NOMS. I will be back here once the pizza adventure has ended.
Who can turn down free pizzas?
"How to be single" was giving away free pizzas as part of the movie promotion. I was skeptical at first but decided to put in my address anyways. Half hr later, there was the nicest delivery person at my door struggling with the biggest pizza box I've ever held or seen.
We didn't get to choose the pizzeria or the specific order. But I was pleasantly surprised by the portion and quality! I've never heard of Stanton Pizza before but it is now our go to for pizza delivery and take out orders!
The pizza came piping hot as if it was just taken out of the oven! The cheese was still gooey and stringy when pulled apart! Every part of the cheese was thoroughly melted. The pepperoni carried the perfect amount of spice and crisp. The tomato sauce had the perfect hint of tart and sweetness. The pizza bread was delightfully chewy. Honestly, I already ate dinner before the pizza arrived and somehow I managed to eat through 5 jumbo slices. Game over for new year healthy eating, total win for my inner fatty.
Can't wait til my next slice from Stanton pizza!
