  1. Really nice Pizza Italian style!!! Very tasty and full of flavor just close your eyes when you savor it. If you had it in  Italy, then you know it is the real  deal. The owner an Italian from Milano, took good care of us. It was a new experience in Harlem, this side North of Little Italy and west of RAO. So it is a new addition in this ever growing part of Manhattan.

  2. There aren't a lot of gluten free pizza places that taste amazing and is made with homemade crust. The only place that I've found is don antonios in Hell's Kitchen. However, this place is just as good. The gluten free pizza and I'm sure the regular taste like they are from Italy.

  3. Very delicious Pizza in the heart of Harlem, actually came here to have lunch with a friend on my birthday and was very impressed with the quality of the food. their pizza was delicious and so are the salads. I ordered the Italian sausage one and a anti pasta and both were delicious!

  4. had been waiting months for them to open… i'm glad to finally have the new addition to the neighborhood.

the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. i have been twice already, and looking forward to going back again.

  5. This was our favorite meal while in NYC, and the best, most authentic pizza we have had since going to Italy last year.

We started with a salad (insalatina) – simply dressed in balsamic with lettuce and tomatoes. It was a nice, fresh start to our meal. Upon perusing the menu, we came across one called the Laura. Of course, I could not resist ordering the pizza that shares my name! It could not have been more tailor-made for me. Comprised of mascarpone, mozzarella, tomatoes, speck and rosemary, it was truly wonderful. The crust was thin and crispy, and the toppings worked really well together leading my husband and I to almost come to blows over the last piece. We loved it so much, I made it when we got home from our trip. My version was of course not as good as Sottocasa's, but it will be a good replacement until we can get back there.

Sottocasa is a beautiful restaurant with very friendly and attentive service. It will be in regular rotation on our future trips to Harlem.
