Enoteca on Court

“The owner of Enoteca on Court is a friend of a friend, and I have been wanting to try their brick oven food forever.”

“This makes perfect sense when you discover the owner of Enoteca is the son of the owner of Marco Polo (the restaurant next door).”

“Will save you $$$ from Lucali, attitude and freezing line ups from Grimaldi's and they take cards.”

  1. Have been here a couple times with some family friends and every time it's just super satisfying and delicious and high quality pizza!

  2. Don't skip out on the pizza, the margherita pizza here was probably better than the pizza I've had in Venice and Vatican city. It was a thin crust and the cheese just melts right off. It's that classic moment where you take a bite and a string of cheese bleeds out and THAT'S how you know it's good pizza.

The goat cheese and honey bruschetta was pretty tasty as well, I was surprised that the combination worked, I only wish the bread was a bit softer because it was like biting into a baguette.

The chicken salad was another highlight aside from the pizza. One of the best salads I've had, the slices of cheese really gave the dish and oomph.

If you come here often enough, you can score a free baby pizza on your fifth check in which I hope to do quite soon..

  3. No complaints here.

My fiancée and I shared a margherita pie and Nonna's calzone (meatballs, ricotta, parmigiano, mozzarella and basil). Very fresh. It was more than enough food for the both of us.

It also seemed very authentic in the restaurant. Lots of Italian accents coming from the employees. That's always a good thing!

Great pizza place! Especially when Lucali is closed or packed

  4. I stopped by here on a late afternoon for some linner and ordered 2 regular pies. When you walk in the first thing you see is the huge brick oven. The pizza was being pumped out fresh order by order. We sat down quick and ordered a Lucana and Pistachio. We didn't get to try any appetizers or main courses but they sounded delectable.

Once the pizza arrived, the first thing I noticed was…TOPPINGS! This is one of the first pizza shops that actually put sausage on their sausage pies, they don't skimp on the toppings. That's key in pizza, you don't want to order a sausage pie with 1 sausage, you wants lots of sausage pieces.  Both pizzas were fantastic and loaded with toppings. The only downside was, the center of the crust wasn't crunchy and got a little soggy. I wish they would've toasted the center a little longer. The crust along the edges were however delicious.

  5. Enoteca was the final stop in our Brooklyn Pizza Tour and did not disappoint.  Marco (the owner and head chef) was welcoming and accommodating throughout.  We tried the margarita which was made fresh with super tasty sauce.  He also whipped up some basil, tomato, and mozzarella (homemade in house) appetizers for us to try—really delicious!

Enoteca has a cool vibe to it as well–big bar (tip: if you order a beer at the bar they will offer you a free small pizza—say yes!!), huge pizza oven, some tables, and a big space out back that is either open in the warmer months or covered in the winter month.  There was a private event (baby shower) going on back there when we visited and it looked to be the perfect space for such a gathering.  We were only here for pizza this time, but some of the entrees smelled and looked delicious as well, particularly the chicken and fish dishes.  Our tour guide highly recommended the paninis–specifically the steak–and he shared that you won't find a better one!  Will have to come back, I guess!

  6. There's no more authentic way of cooking Italian food than in a traditional wood-fire brick oven, and Enoteca on Court has a massive one sitting smack in the middle of the restaurant. From the menu, it looks like they cook everything but their salads and pasta in that oven!

The Gorgonzola bruschetta was probably the best bruschetta I've had in a long time, and I cannot remember the last time I had such good, authentic brick oven pizza. I loved the traditional thin crust on my Margherita pizza, and you could tell they hand make each one to order based on the irregular shape of every pie.

They also had some decent looking afternoon drink specials, but I couldn't try them due to work commitments that evening. Great excuse to make a return trip here!

  7. Had dinner here one night and you can tell a lot of customers are like family here.

They have a wood burning pizza oven and some solid pizza options. We went with the calabrese pizza and that was tasty.

We also had the salmon skewer that came with a side salad. Fresh and well marinated fish.

They have a full bar and fast and attentive service.

  8. one of the best pizza places in brooklyn. came here during scott's pizza tour, this was the 3rd place we went. the crust is chewy but crunchy on the outside as well, and the ingredients are all superb. similar to neapolitan style. the margarita is a classic!

i love coming here during happy hour – get a drink, and you receive a little small tiny pizza. this is great! it's like tapas in southern spain. staff is friendly and they provide a homey feeling. their outdoor area (it's not fully outside, but it has a skylight type ceiling) is beautiful and a nice place for a date night.
