This place was just ok. I stopped in for lunch on a week day. With only one other person inside I felt kind of awkward. Pizza was amazing but my pasta was so heavy. I felt terrible eating it. Nice to see a place like this in the neighborhood tho.
I haven't eaten their pies yet, but the grilled octopus was amazing. Our pasta dishes were fresh and excellent. But the octopus, yum!
An awesome little taverna. I honestly wasn't that thrilled by the octopus app – though perfectly cooked, I didn't thing the flavors were anything special – but I loved the entrees. I had the risotto and my mom had the pork. Good service and lovely ambience. 4.5 stars – I'll be back!
Edit 1/2016: Returned and had another great experience! I had the beef bolognese this time and it was delicious. The desserts are homemade, so I had to go for the creme brûlée – it was incredible! Out waitress was kind of inattentive and rang up our bill wrong at first, but the food was great.
Great new restaurant in the Heights. The pizza and salad we had was excellent. Great selection of wines. Draft beers were okay but I couldn't find one to pair well with a pizza on a cold winter night. This would be a great place to catch up over food or even for date night. The only thing that I wasn't wowed by on the menu was the stuffed foccacia which felt more like a quesadilla than anything italian. Can't wait to come back.
Really delicious. Bono has one of those giant pizza ovens that you just know when you see it will produce awesome pizza. We shared a bunch of menu items, including the Strozzapreti alla Norcina and the Parma pizza. This is great food. The pasta was ridiculously rich and good, and I'm glad we shared. Nice wine selection too.
I can't wait to return!
