Ordered from here for the first time. If you're looking for a regular New York Italian style meal, then this place is for you. Nothing fancy, just a good regular plate of penne vodka and Cesar salad. Good price, fast delivery (but I do live only a couple blocks away so I can't speak for the majority) and a filling meal. Next time I want Italian I will be getting my pasta from here.
Ordered a veal parm with pasta and half the veal looks uncooked….I think I want to gag just looking at it. This is definitely not okay…WTF??
I'm a sucker for great food at cheap prices. The FiDi area of Manhattan is pricey but with Georgio's you can't go wrong. $6-$7 lunch specials which includes big portions of food and a drink. How could you complain? The food is ALWAYS good and everyone appreciates that type of consistency. Georgio's hasn't failed me yet…well they failed to have calamari today but I won't hold that against them for now.
Good pizza in the Financial District. What did you expect for a place that caters mostly to the lunch crowd?
The best slice to get here is the margarita. Hands down, it is light enough and well balanced in flavors. Everything else – other than their calzones – is just average.
If are in need for a slice at work, come here. Stick with the margarita and come early, and you will be satisfied enough.
It was Friday night and I was looking for the next best thing to Artichoke Pizza that would deliver to my neighborhood. I went on a hunt for penne vodka pizza with actual penne, not just vodka sauce. Voilà! This place also lets you add on toppings from a large selection so I added on spinach and ricotta cheese (I admit I got real nasty that day). I haven't tried enough pizza in this city to know if this qualifies as "the best penne vodka pizza" but the large pie was my dinner for a week and my taste buds were satisfied every night.
Guys, the pasta dishes here are amazing. The penne alla vodka and carbonara are both delicious and HUGE. Easily enough for two meals. In addition, they are only $7.95. Are you kidding me? That's like $4 for a delicious pasta meal if you do eat it over two meals. Furthermore, I ate at Lavo, the fancy, expensive italian restaurant in Midtown the night before this and had a rigatoni dish for $28 that was smaller and not even half as good as Georgio. I have not had the pizza, but based on the pasta, this place should change its name to Georgio Pasta because its delicious and an incredible value.
Excellent chicken wings and mozzarella sticks in the Financial District.
The portions are extremely filling.
Fairy decent prices and good services. One of the best and quickest place in FIDI in respect to delivery.
Please visit if in the area.
I was in NYC for a business trip, and I had a hankering for pizza. Upon returning to my hotel I googled "pizza near me", and two places came up. Both had 4-star reviews, and this one was closer and cheaper so it won out.
I got there, and the setup was a lot like Pizza Pizza back home. I ordered a slice of chicken and stuff pizza and had a bottle of soda for $6 I think. The pizza was better than Pizza Pizza, with a thinner crust and more flavour.
While eating the one employee came over and asked me the pizza was. I told the truth that I was enjoying it. I'll definitely repear if I'm back in NYC.
