  1. This is a nice addition to the neighborhood. The resturant is very cozy, and the decor is welcoming.

I had never been to the previous restaurant that was in Il Valentino Osteria's spot but I like what is here now a lot! I tried the pasta with pesto and my boyfriend ordered the chicken parm. We both loved our choices. It is funny because the chicken parm came with a side of french fries which we weren't expecting. The fries, though, were AMAZING. Thin cut, perfectly salted and fluffy.

Their pastas come in two sizes. I opted for the larger size (which I finished of course) however next time I think I will opt for the smaller of the two and possible order an appetizer as well. They have a brick oven for pizza so I will be back to sample the offerings on a pizza front very soon!  The only complaint I have is the waitstaff is a little awkward still. However, I assume that is just growing pains and they are getting used to the flow of the restaurant. Definitely won't stop me from coming back!

  2. Il Valentino has something for everyone. I love the space, the service and the neighborhood feel. We took mom here for her first visit to our new apartment and she was very happy, very impressed. It was a gorgeous summer night and the windows were wide open, we had the place all to ourselves, practically! My picks are the Linguini Pesto & Papardelle with Mushrooms… Another menu highlight is the Roasted Mixed Vegetable Salad, the red wine vinaigrette is scrumptious! My husband had pizza and gave it a thumbs up (we are pizza elitists!) Would have been 5 stars if I got dessert – the waitress didn't even offer!

  3. Came here for lunch and got a panini with a salad. Overall, service was good and so was my food. The dressing on my salad was light but really good. Panini had thin bread and a lot of cheese, which I loved. Not sure if I'd choose to come back again but it was a nice spot for a quick bite.
