  1. Came here twice so far and both times were amazing. The meatball special and tartufata were both outstanding. I tried the duck special and the pollo al parmigiano. The duck was cooked to perfection. The pollo parmigiano is not your typical chicken parmigiana. The chicken was thinly sliced and it had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese.

  2. Didn't enjoy coming here.

Our first waiter was super nice and friendly. We explained we were waiting for our friend and would just order some drinks. They didn't have any happy hour specials so that was disappointing. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc which was crisp and tasty. As my friend came, we ordered the cheese board and for $18 you literally get 6 small slices of cheese. I was in shock. I almost wanted to say "Where's the other half??" The kids pasta was decent sized for $8 so that was good for my tot. My friend ordered the beef carpaccio and I don't even know what to describe it as. The color was completely off, reminded me of old salami. It was also as thick as a regular slice of salami. Maybe even thicker! As our first waiter seemed to not be handling our table anymore, a second came over and asked what we wanted to order. We were all kinda turned off by the apps and were interested in the crab and zucchini pasta in saffron sauce. We asked if it were possible to make a larger portion the three of us could share (one would be enough for two but two dishes would be too much for three) and he just gave us a dirty look and said order two. Listen, it's not about money here – we could have ordered 10 if we wanted. We were set to go to a concert in a park after and in 90 degree weather whatever left overs sitting in the car would need to be thrown out. After that we just said you know what we want the check and left. Never will come here again, wish we could because the pastas featured on the menu did look great.

  3. Incredible Italian cuisine, lots of homemade pasta options.. So glad this place is close to home. We ordered the meatball special with ricotta cheese and the mixed salad with pomegranate, pear and goat cheese.. All were amazing.. Then for my entree I ordered the pappardelle with truffle butter and I wasn't disappointed.. Great staff and intimate environment

  4. Found this place by accident. It was pretty tasty but a little expensive for what it is. Also i went in at 4:30 and there was only 2 other tables. They refused to give me a 4 top when i had 3 people and in the end when the food came out we had to move anyway. That was very annoying.

  5. Came here for brunch and ordered the Brioche French Toast off their fixe menu. The french toast was lovely, but nothing to shout praises off the rooftop. The bellini was deliciously dry.

An solid entree, coffee, and booze for 17.50? Yes, please. I'll be back for the quality of food and price.

  6. Working my way down attempting to try all restaurants on 30th Ave it seemed like a good option to try Via Trenta, and it sure was! It has an intimate ambiance, good date spot, dimly lit. It feels to me like a genuinely Italian establishment with high quality ingredients.

The pasta with clams and garlic was delicious, not too oily like some places make it. The ravioli was super good as well. My wife had a pasta dish with pesto that got her hooked on eating pesto. We have also had a polenta appetizer and pizza here which were less memorable, but still not bad.

They have nice out door seating also. The prices are a bit high, if not for that I would have been a mor frequent customer. Service was Ok, although on the first visit the waiter was kind of lingering in front of our table each time he came by, looking but not saying anything, which felt a bit awkward. Would like to come back, but still Antika across the road is my favorite Italian restaurant in Astoria.

  7. I came back for the parpadelle mushroom,  it was not the same.  Mushrooms were normal button mushrooms,  not the wild ones like last time and I couldn't taste the truffle.  Still good,  but not the same.

The pizza was delicious…  Mmmm… That cheese!
    too
The special salad was good ,  but it seriously could have been a larger salad for $11.

  8. When I am craving pasta, this place hits the spot. Last night I went straight for the main dish since I was craving for pappardelle and it was with mushrooms in a truffle sauce. Oh my gosh it was delicious, hubby even tried it and said "wow you can punch someone out with this!" In other words he loved it too. It was like butter melting my mouth which was heavenly. I also finished my plate before my husband for the first time ever since he's the fast eater out of the two of us. He was amazed and I was super satisfied with my dish.

I also loved there bread which comes to you warm and crispy. Yummy!! I like the ambiance and the waiters are quick and attentive.
