Pizza is very tasty- no doubt about that! I like that the eat in area looks like a restaurant. The fountain soda is way too sweet- kind of gives me a belly ache. Last time, I got the "chicken a la vodka" slice which is not really pizza. Its the crust topped with chicken in vodka sauce, sprinkled with parmesan. Very yummy- knife and fork required. Definitely a nice spot to grab a slice.
Ordered to go the house salad with grilled chicken was their lunch special. With snapple and garlic knots. Salad was very good. Fresh ingredients and plenty in the salad. Garlic bread was good but I have had better in the neighborhood. The pizza selection looked very appreizting. Ill try that next time.
LOVE their pizza – definitely one of the best in the area. The food varies by what you order.
The young guy that works there is very attentive and friendly – the other guys are okay.
The pizza is good, but I expected more from a place with actual Italians working behind the counter. The food smells heavenly, especially the garlic knots, but could taste and be cooked better.
The food is really dense. Slices are are doughy, fully cooked but not crisp, they somehow taste thicker than they really are. The sauce is tasty though. I simply don't understand the garlic knots. They're not burned but they are so *tough*, and they don't look that way at all. I was expecting to bite into doughy, garlicy goodness and instead got a hard hunk of bread full of oil.
I'd order from them again, but only if their pizza is this good or better, and few pizza parlors seem to be able to make a consistent product.
And though they deliver it appears they only do so within a 10 block radius. I'm two subway stops away and they wouldn't deliver to me, which is pretty lame considering how friendly they are.
remember when great pizza was everywhere and cheap ($3.50 got me 2 slices and a soda while going to high school in downtown Manhattan) in New York? is it just a coincidence that was also the years when Giuliani was mayor? say what you will about the guy, but low crime and good pizza made me a happy New Yorker growing up.
sigh.
anywho, this is a little pizza parlor with a small restaurant too. service was fast and "pizzeria friendly", which translates to "whaddya want?"…I wouldn't have it any other way.
the pizza itself tasted like the stuff you get at those 99 Cent pizza joints in the city, but at a higher price…5 and change for a chicken slice and small soda, really? it wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but could've been better.
on the plus side, the menu is straight-up old-school pizzeria. no stupid "mango/tofu pizza", no freakin "home-grown/artisanal/free-range" crap…all the toppings here are typical meats and veggies to be found in a pizzeria….AS IT SHOULD BE.
I might come back to try the restaurant area. the chicken rolls looked pretty good too.
While I am so happy to have a work function every month at which they bring in Queens pizza, reminding me of the deliciousness from my youth, this is not the best example to take me back.
Good crust and sauce is sweet and tangy, but the cheese is soft and stringy, never well back to enjoy fresh and hot. Probably would be better reheated at home or in the store.
I have to say the pizza was very tasty. I had to ask them to make the slice more crispy because sometimes it was too soggy. Try their spinach slice it is very good I highly recommend it. Their credit card min is $10.
They are not getting the 5 stars because there is one worker who is a little rude. YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIR GARLIC KNOTS.
This is a below average pizza by far.
This pizzeria doesn't smell like a pizzeria inside and it doesn't smell like a pizzeria outside. Not from a far not from a close. That is a crime.any good pizzeria had to smell like it.
I should have listed to my parents in law.
The pepperoni wasn't crispy on the sides.
The sauce tasted like it was strait out the can.
The chicken parm roll lacked sauce Abs chocked lacked flavor.
But the dough wasn't that bad.
I will not be coming back.
