  1. This is a solid pizza place. A corner slice of the "grandma" hit the spot.

They are also trying to do some unique stuff here, such as a chicken Cesar salad slice that's warned. I didn't try it but it was selling.

They have garlic knots that are sliced in the middle with pepperoni slices, and they have potato croquettes.

  2. My family swears by their pizza (they always come for take out). They claim that the pizza is better when you purchase the pizza by the slice (in my opinion, usually the case). My family and I ordered in for a movie night. We ordered an eggplant roll, Sicilian pie, and shrimp Parmesan hero.

The eggplant roll was DELICIOUS! Not to mention, it was twice the size I thought it would be. The pie was good but the crust was far too hard and barely any cheese (not sure if it's always like this?). I scraped the roof of my mouth. The shrimp Parmesan hero tasted fresh. The price came to $38 (not bad I must say). I will most likely give the pizza another try. The gentleman on the phone was understanding, patient, and willing to answer any questions I had (plus).

  3. My recent visit to NY and I decided to check out this pizza place in Brooklyn. I was a little hesitant about coming here but my native NY friend suggested to go here. I do not regret it I must say. I would recommend getting the grandma style slices. I kept purchasing one after anothe because I couldn't get enough. I tried the "white" pizza with the ricotta and mozz cheese I believe? I wasn't the biggest fan of this slice. Would I come back my next visit? Probably.

  4. I was running on prospect park west when the munchies hit me! I had limited choices where I can grab something to go and eat so I decided on pizza. I'm one of those people that work out so I can justify eating unhealthy.

Anyway, I stepped into this place and I kind of knew it would be bad. Pizzas glorified with things like chicken Cesar salad, buffalo chicken or fried calamari. I was desperate so I decided on the margarita pizza. How bad can that be? Fresh mozzarella and basil leaves. Well… When I took the bite, it tasted a lot worse than some frozen pizza I've had. Sauce was definitely canned and overly sweet! Crust was rubbery and the worst quality fresh mozzarella ever!

With so many good pizza choices in brooklyn, I'm really surprised this place has business. Yet, there was a lot!

  5. Came here for the 1st time and was impressd with the overall decor. I love the tables and the look and cleanlness of the restroom. The food was good so far and the kids approved. I will for sure return to try other things before committing myself to this location. Staff was friendly, especially the older gentleman. I will be back, hopefully for good.

  6. Looks better than it taste. The crust was crispy at first, but got soggy fast. Orders the eggplant slice and margarita. Came out to $9. Can get a little rowdy when kids get off school. Nice large bathroom in the back. Most likely would not come back

  7. Short
    Walk from

    For average
Slice. Kid staff was slow on cleaning tables.

  8. once, twice…three times a pizzeria.

formerly Sabella's for a looooong time, then briefly La Piazza, this place has regenerated again into The Sicilian.

we've ordered from The Sicilian while visiting my family. their pizza is a great balance between no-frills old-school NY pizza and being a bit experimental with toppings.

they have the plain pies and basic toppings, as well as more slightly more daring ideas like taco pizza, buffalo chicken, and chicken marsala.

garlic knots are always soft and chewy. salads always taste fresh and crisp.

prices are pretty much standard, and delivery speed ranges from okay to good. depends on how busy of a night, I guess.

I'm a fan of this current regeneration; hopefully it lasts!
