Great vodka pizza, fast delivary service and good prices.
I came here yesterday on the way back to Brooklyn and I had there famous vodka pizza that came with Prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, peas, and mushrooms.
We came here on a Sunday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant they brought out some typical warm bread and oil which was nothing special and we waited for the pizza.
After it being so called "voted best pizza etc." I was super excited. The pizza tasted dry, what was suppose to be thin crust was inconsistent and the dough got very thick towards the crust portion. It didn't taste fresh and light and there wasn't enough sauce. I also felt that they overcooked the prosciutto and it lost its freshness it suppose to have!
Living in Brooklyn, which I personally think we have some of the best pizzerias….and Born in Staten Island I was very upset with the quality. They need to take a look at there recipe and change a few things.
Would not come back, wouldn't order again. Cash/Credit accepted, nothing cozy or special about the decor.
Goodfella's has been on my NYC pizza list for a while now, and I decided to stop in for dinner while driving through Staten Island recently. I didn't expect a warm greeting or service in SI (sorry!), but I found the opposite. I was immediately greeted by a friendly server, seated at a table of my choosing, and was assisted by a very friendly and attentive server who kept my drink poured, spoke passionately about the menu, and made great suggestions.
I chose the calamari for appetizer (huge portion for one person), and their specialty pizza. The calamari was decent, but it seemed pre-cooked and not freshly battered. The pizza was outstanding with a crisp thin crust and a very tasty sauce. I took half home for lunch the next day.
This is among the best — but not the best — NYC pizza, and certainly deserves the recognition it has received. The friendly service made it a four star experience for me.
Coal oven pizza, thats exactly how pizza should be made !
I came here with the boyfriend for a meal before work and I was glad with this choice, kudos to the boo. We sat down quickly which was surprising since it was a Friday night and you know how that goes. The waitress let us sit anywhere and came over quickly to serve us, she was really sweet.
The menu had a lot to serve especially very different types of pizzas which looked really good and I would like to try.
Started off with the mussels marinara which was so good, me and the lover are addicted to seafood and this hit the spot! The mussels came out steaming and was in nice chunky tomato marinara sauce which we love and he could eat tomatoes for days especially if its sauce! The pasta boy that he is! Awww. We really enjoyed it and had every mussel in that plate and finished that up.
For main dinner I ended up ordering pasta and had some chicken parm which was big and fulfilling I enjoyed it and my bf ended up with whole wheat chicken wrap with veggies and soon he will look like a grilled chicken from how much of that he eats!
Overall it was really good the food and the service was really good and professional. I enjoyed our dinner here and will def. be back and of course have the pizza cause thats what its all about. Plus is was affordable also and theres plenty of parking and I know when the weathers nicer they have outside seating which is nice too.
Theres a good bar next door too if you wanna hang out and grab a drink or two and they have live bands I know too.
This is my go to pizza spot. I have been eating Goodfella's pizza since it opened. Lately I like the old world pizza with fresh garlic. Be prepared because the garlic flavor is strong, but it's delicious. If I am feeling crazy I add on fried eggplant. I order it lightly cooked because if I don't it's overcooked and dry. I also like their Caesar salad. When you order online you can choose from a variety of toppings. I like adding fresh mozzarella, provolone, olives and roasted peppers. Also they have birch beer. For dessert I like the peanut butter cup pie. Always check your order before leaving because I have gone home with no dressing and/or something else wrong. They are very good at fixing any errors if you don't catch it before you leave, however I wish they double checked it themselves at the restaurant. Overall I highly recommend Goodfellas. I get food to go from here at least three times per month.
