Nothing special about their pizza. I've been to several patsy in the city and they are good with prices but I wouldn't go here foe their pizza. Their pastas are good quanity.
I came here for my birthday. Love the atmosphere of this place. Very laid back, and it's the perfect place to come as a group.
Their Fried Calamari is pretty good. I also had the Patsy's Dirty Chips, but thought it was just ok.
For entrée we ordered their Margherita pizza pie, and also their Linguini & Calamari Fra Diavlo. The pizza was excellent. I wish the crust was a little more crusty though. And the Fra Diavlo was great, but it was just too spicy. I can handle some spice, but this dish was spicier than Indian dishes, and although it tasted good, I couldn't eat more than a few bites.
For dessert, we had their Chocolate Lava Cake, which I liked, but it was a very small portion.
Service was good. They also have parking in the back.
So a pizzeria that doesn't do take out? Does that make sense? I came here to grab a pie to go and was greeted by their sign that says "No Take Out" I can't imagine myself trying their pizza in a sit down scenario. If I ever try this place I'll update, but I'm not running to sit down and have waiter service for a slice of pizza.
What a great surprise. First, I want to say, don't let the 3 star rating that they have fool you. This place to me is 5 stars all the way! And I call it like I taste it!!
This was my first time eating at Patsy's and it was such a wonderful experience. We had 2 glasses of wine, the rice balls for an appetizer. The rice balls were huge and delicious! We also had the penne alla vodka which was delicious. I had the seafood fra diavlo which was outstanding!!!!!
The portions are huge and our waitress Kelly was just super and outstanding! She was super pleasant and a lot of fun, thanks Kelly!!!!!!
One more thing….get the cookie smash!!! OMG!!!
So if you want some great Italian food, go to Patsy's!
Was not at all pleased, this is by far the worst pizza I have ever had. We ordered a small pie w vodka sauce. Most of the pizza was crust & cheese. The tiny part of the pizza that actually had sauce on it did NOT taste like vodka sauce at all. It looked and tasted like ketchup. When we called the waitress over to point this out she pretended like she couldn't see what we were talking about and did nothing for us. Definitely not returning to this restaurant.
This is a really good pizzeria in Whitestone, NY. With some relatives we ordered some pizzas to share as well as different entrees for lunch. There's plenty of seating, suitable for large groups.
I ordered an eggplant parmigian which was really tasty.
They also had a full bar and tv's to watch sports.
The service here was excellent. They were very attentive and friendly and my water was never empty which is a great thing for me.
There were quite a few kids here, which means it got a bit loud, but I didn't mind. It is a very family oriented atmosphere and is perfect to catch up with some friends or family.
My family shared some fried zucchini which was excellent. After that we had a vodka sauce pizza, which was so so. I was expecting something different. I liked that it was thin crust, but the flavor was a bit off.
For dinner I had the chicken picatta. The dish seemed a bit small. It could have been because I had the broccoli instead of the pasta (what was I thinking), but even so it just seemed small. It tasted great however. Everyone else in my family seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. And in comparison, the pasta dishes seemed MASSIVE.
So, I gave a 3 because I'm completely torn. I thought the food was delicious, however, the aftermath wasn't very good.
We went here for our end of the year luncheon. We were a group of over 40 people which they weren't completely prepared for. We got alot of food. First an antipasti-good. Then Bruscetta–delish. Next came out giant meatballs which were very good. I would say the appetizers definitely outdid the entrees. I wasn't impressed by them.
Now for the aftermath–a handfull of my co-workers got sick immediately after our luncheon. I felt a bit queezy but was unsure if it was just because I had eaten and stuffed my face so much!
It's definitely worth a shot–but maybe be ready with the Tums…I think it was just the richness of the food!
