  1. While they won't win any awards for best presentation or the tastiest slices, Spicy Pizza likely gets lost in the shuffle of the many pizzerias throughout Sunnyside. It basically is Lentini (yelp.com/biz/lentini-piz…) Pizza with a new name. Same ol (pizza) ish.

Regarding the pizza, there isn't much to divulge beyond the occasional cheapo slice. An average, somewhat bland sauce is amended by their crispy crust and generous portion of cheese. Among the usual suspects in the pizza game are some interesting toppings that include eggplant, garlic, olives, and even a supreme order that includes 3 different veggies and meats.

The non-pizza options, as much as I've sampled anyway, have been super mediocre. Meatballs over linguine weren't exactly stellar and the few rolls and calzones were hardly impressive, they were just hard. There are hero sandwiches and burgers, but they are only marginally worse than the pizza itself.

Most folks can get behind the reasonable price tags, but anyone looking for more than that is likely to be disappointed. A plain cheese slice is likely one's best bet, though the desserts are interesting: they're among the only pizzerias in the area to offer tiramisu and tres leches. Maybe dessert isn't such a bad idea.
