I love love love Chopt, and this location of the mini-chain just happens to be the closest to my apartment. They have creative and filling salads with interesting ingredients that appeal to the unhealthy eater who desperately needs a salad to get back on track after a weekend of indulgent amounts of pizza and wine (not me, of course). This location also has a short line post-work, so it's a quick in and out. Pro-tip: download the Level-up app, buy 10 salads and get the 11th free.
Usually love it here however the air conditioning hasn't worked for two days! I walked in today to have a client lunch here and we had to walk out before we passed out. Have no idea how you have people working in that heat or how they haven't completely retaliated yet.
Once you learn their process (order, wait for chopper, go pay) you will be able to enjoy a fresh & healthy salad. Many ingredients to add. Many varieties to choose from. They have destination salads that change ever so often (new items are added on the menu). Their service is great although sometimes they forget to give me bread. The location is clean and the ambiance is modern.
Not impressed with my ~$12 salad. At the suggestion of my coworker, who always walks the .9 miles from the office to go to Chop't instead of Just Salad, I ventured out of the office to see what the fuss was about. When I finally go there, it was nice and spacious inside with plenty of seating but I had to get this salad to go and bring it back. I opted for the "Farmstand BLT," which has: tomatoes * raw corn * sugar snap peas * bacon bits * romaine & butter lettuce, topped with some smoky jalapeno ranch dressing. The line moved through fine. The woman was heavy handed with the dressing though, I had to say "stop" less than 2 seconds after she started pouring.
When I brought it back, I opened the bowl and it was not full at all. If I'm paying $12 for a salad, you can definitely throw in some extra greens to make it full to the top. Is it better than Just Salad? Not sure – sure is more expensive for no good reason.
So glad UES has a Chop't. Easy to pick up on the way home from work, or grab for a quick weekend lunch. I prefer Chop't over Just Salad! Quality ingredients. Lots of choices. Creative options. I'm boring and usually just make my own – but good options for those adventurous eaters, hah! I really like their homemade dressings. I usually get it to-go, but they have a nice seating area with plenty of seats if you decide to eat it there. I planned to eat there last week, but quickly changed my mind after seeing numerous strollers and screaming toddlers posted up there that day with their mommies. I grabbed my salad as fast as I could and ran for the hills!
There's a large variety of salads here. So far, I only tried 1(forgot the name of it) but I can definitely see myself returning for more yummy goodness.
This place was okay. I had the summer caprese thingy with peach, heirloom tomatoes, etc. and added chicken, and it was very tasty but small, and the peaches were not very flavorful (I've had this issue at other salad chains too – they're "in season" but underripe). The people were really nice and there seemed to be lots of options. The portions were a bit small, given the prices – I got something similar at sweetgreen for much cheaper. But I'll be back for my healthy snacks! (Am poet)
My go to "healthy" place in my neighborhood. Very clean, very organized. Good stuff!
