  1. It's not too common for me to eat lunch during the lunch hour rush in midtown, but once in a while, my business man brother has a free minute to sit down and grab a bite.

From the outside, I guessed that it wasn't too busy since there were a few empty tables outside. Boy was I wrong. Upon opening the doors, I found myself inside what I often call the amusement park line. At first it looks like a huge crowd of people all over the place, but on closer inspection, I realized that every person was accounted for. There is a line to order, a line to wait for your salad to be chopped and a line to pay. There is even a line manager telling people where to go if the lines get a bit out of hand and accidentally cross. These people like order!

Though I was completely overwhelmed, I was able to order a fairly simple DIY kale salad with hearts of palm, cucumber and beef – which looked like slices of roast beef. Once my tzatziki dressing was on and my salad was tossed, (haha…shut up) I got on the line to pay. Since my brother was running late and said he wouldn't have time to eat, I grabbed a mini brownie for him and handed over my credit card. All together, my salad and brownie came to $17 something. After I heard 17 I probably blacked out. I didn't grab a receipt so I don't know the breakdown, but damn! Then I remembered where I was. I was the only person there not wearing a blue button down with slacks or a black dress with heels. These are not my people.

So I sat down outside and was pleasantly surprised at how full I got from a salad.  The ingredients tasted fresh, there was a nice mix of everything and the dressing was really light and creamy all at once. I would estimate that there was about 5 cups of kale. It was pretty packed in. So I sat and waited and watched the crowds of blue shirts and black dresses walk by my table. It's pretty amazing how many people dress exactly the same over here. As a teacher, I'm typically swimming in a sea of pink dresses and cartoon t-shirts so I felt as if I was visiting another planet.

In the end, my brother never came to the restaurant so I had to go to his office to see him for 3 minutes. Anyway, thanks to him, I was able to experience a new place with good food and service.

  2. This location has excellent customer service. They really show they value the customer. During one visit they were out of my favorite dressing, Greek yogurt tzatziki, and they gave me a free salad for the next time I came. Great lunch spot and even with long lines during the lunch hour they seem to move pretty quickly.

  3. Great concept. Create your own salad with a base of greens of your choice.
My salad was mixed well and was tasty and filling. I would have preferred an easier way of choosing the "core" mix-ins. There is a list on the glass, but it does not coordinate with the veggies in the display case-which is how I prefer to choose .
Overall, friendly service and healthy, tasty food.

  4. Fantastic!

A nice find across from the Parker meridian. Really good for lunch, loved it. Santa Fe ranch poor boy salad is a good voice, add avocado

  5. I love chop't and this location is pretty good. Even if the line is long, it moves pretty quickly. A few things I def think they could improve on is – 1 not skimping on the toppings…..between grabbing 1/2 empty scoops and dropping half the contents often times there is barely anything left over for the salad bowl….they've revised their menu and now it's a little confusing as to what the originals were….also there were some revisions to classic recipes and I'm not a fan. Still love the salad wraps so i keep coming back!

  6. Obligatory 3 stars. The staff are good, not bad, not great. The wait is typical of a midtown eatery on the weekdays.

I don't have any complaints… but I can't think of any thing negative to say, sooo… OK.

  7. In my original review, you'll see that I got sick when I came here. Chop't saw my review and made it right with me, which I greatly appreciated.

I came back and got a completely different salad. It was tasty. Service was good. Also, we sat upstairs and it was overall a good experience.

  8. Best place for salad! This is my favorite spot when I feel like eating something healthy. Everything is fresh and if you don't feel in the mood to order any tipe of salad that they have you can make your own style!
