  1. I was a drop wary of this place for a bit–the prices for pre-made sandwiches and salad bowls seemed high, and had a lot of things I don't normally eat or add to things (quinoa for one–I really don't like that AT ALL). But I had a great lunch and have come back a few times since. The protein and sides offerings are really tasty. I always get the salmon or chicken & rice w/2 sides. My favorite is salmon with rice-nicely grilled fresh, and the cauliflower puree. Their salads look great, will try one soon.

  2. Caught my eye while I was walking down Lexington

    Pros:
    – Interior was simple and clean – great set of tables in the back to do some work
    – Conveniently located near the 86th train stop
    – Got the falafel salad and it was extremely fresh and yummy – the herb lemon dressing was delicious!

    Cons:
    – Line – they only have two people behind the salad bar so it takes some time if there is a long line

  3. I'm really into this place!

Everything seems pretty healthy, which makes me feel good about myself. The prices are a little steep but not so bad considering the portions.

I love the turkey chili over rice, and they have amazing mashed potatoes.

I will be getting food from here very often, since I work nearby. I'm excited!!!

  4. Did not even realize this location was up in my hood on the UES a block away from the 86th street subway stop. Dropped in the other day to grab a quick lunch. Always nice to have another healthier meal option in the area.

Not a bad spot, bright, clean, organized, with a seating area in the back. It's one of their smaller locations.

Still, these places seem like a Pret A Manger knockoff. Same style of sandwiches and lunch products. But way pricey. Only difference is they make salads and have more soups available. It's a good choice for healthier food options if watching the diet. The turkey sandwich and pea soup I had were pretty good.

The shop itself is bright, clean, organized, with a little seating. It's one of their smaller locations. As others have noted the staff working here is very friendly and helpful.

  5. Ordered from here once on Seamless. Had to call twice to make sure it arrived – never going to bother with that again.

Dined in: the food is good; service varies. Some staff members are much more competent than others. My guy was well-intentioned but slow and confused and some rando decided to cut in front of me in line because he was apparently kind of a craptastic person. ANYHOO, the food tasted fine but the whole ordeal did require a bit of patience. I had the Bangkok bowl and it was delicious. I love me some quinoa.

Their offerings are nice and healthy, so if you are in the mood for that kind of thing and you're not in a hurry, I'd say sure, why not check this place out.

  6. Smoothie and juice machines are unsanitary!
I came to this location probably over a year ago soon after it opened and got a smoothie. After ordering the smoothie I waited nearly ten minutes for it. During most of this waiting time I wondered if my smoothie had been forgotten because no one even attempted to make it until minute 7 or 8, despite many many people getting their orders. I was kind of alarmed that there was no dedicated smoothie/juice maker and it was the cashiers that would take a break from handling money to then make a smoothie or juice.

While walking past the location on Jan 12th I remembered my earlier disappointing experience but decided to give it a second chance. This time was even worse. After paying for a smoothie the cashier returned to taking more customers and no move was made to make my smoothie. Another customer about 4 minutes after me ordered a juice from another cashier who immediately started on her order. About 8 minutes into it my cashier noticed me standing there and then started to make my smoothie. When she went to open the smoothie maker, she took the plastic insert out, proceeded to smell it and then said it wasn't clean and asked someone else to go downstairs and get clean parts. I then waited until someone brought "clean parts" and continued to wonder how long this machine really was. Now on to the almond milk. The almond milk container was almost empty, producing one last drip for my smoothie. Someone else was dispatched to get more almond milk, yet it didn't make it back in time for my smoothie which ended up with only a drip of almond milk. Finally after about 12-14 minutes I had my smoothie. Worse than the time wasted was the awful feeling that the machine used to make it was not sanitary. Why there is not a dedicated person making these juices and smoothies and instead its the cashiers who go from touching cash and then carrots is beyond me.

  7. I walked in with my sister for a quinoa bowl. The food was delicious, just as any other Fresh&co stores' bowls. But what I loved the most was the costumer service.

I couldn't finish the whole bowl by myself. When Ira saw this, he walked up to me, kindly asking whether I would like to take it home with me. He took my salad, placed it in a bag, with a fork and tissue. He also tried to do the greetings  in korean (I am korean by the way)

Just wanted to compliment his kindness and his positive attitude, because his bright energy and spirit made my day!

  8. So this was my first time here at this location. I was staying at the double tree and was so excited to see Fresh & Co right next door. I must say they definitely live up to their name, Fresh. Everything from the prepackaged sandwiched, the apples and muffins near the register and the salad toppings in the back ALL looked so good and "fresh". This restaurant is pleasantly clean and have outdoor seating.
I ordered the Tex Mex bowl that comes with avocado, cheese, pico de gallo, kale, quinoa, black beans and a spicy sauce. It was so good good! They mix the ingredients together in a small sauce pan for a few minutes (minus the avo and quinoa). While that's warming up they scoop some quinoa in a bowl then top the remaining ingredients on top. It was so good! Next time I'm in the city I will definitely be back.
