  1. Cool decor. Very interesting options. I think I spent a good 10 minutes just reading thru labels on all of the food packages. Thought it was cool that they offered cashew hemp milk for coffee. Very expensive, although not surprising considering the location. I tried the bahn mi salad wrap. Kind of bland. I had to add salt to it. Bahn Mi vegetables are supposed to be pickled and these weren't at all. Might stop in again to try a coffee with cashew hemp milk.

  2. There are not that many smoothie spots in Midtown but Organic Avenue is your better alternative to Jamba Juice. Yes, it's pricy. A smoothie would cost you $9 a pop. But I'm not saying one should come here every day. I'd say this place is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of midtown..both physically and mentally. If you ever need a break from your desk, definitely come here and grab one of their smoothies or bottled juices to detox your mind and body.  I only tried their Nirvana (de-stress) smoothie and it's pretty delicious.  It is also strategically located right next to Blink Fitness so it sure feeds their customers into a more healthy mindset.

  3. Best organic avenue! I love that they make fresh smoothies to order and had several items out to sample. They have a large living plant wall and tables where you can sit down and enjoy your meal.

We got an acai bowl and a green monkey smoothie. It's a much needed break from the otherwise heavy meals we need to eat in New York. And a great way to start the day. I loved that they let you sample any of the juices they have bottled and they also had a variety of samples set out for you to taste. A must visit for a healthy meal in NY!

  4. While everything is delicious. I liked that the food was grab and go because you can eat it in Bryant Park if it's a nice day. I really enjoyed it.

  5. As a former raw foodist and a frequent juicer, of course I have heard of Organic Avenue, but given I live and work in Jersey, I'd never had a chance to try it.

I walked past Organic Avenue this afternoon while in the city exploring the tree, St. Patricks and the various holiday decorations in the area.   Given I've heard so much about them I had to stop inside to try something!!  I wish I'd gotten one of the collard wraps to bring home for dinner, but I didn't feel like lugging it around the rest of the afternoon and I was on a photography expedition so it would have been awkward to carry around.

So instead I tried a holiday treat of sorts … Chocolate Peppermint Cashew milk.  Soooo delicious.  Felt like a serious indulgence but of course all healthy ingredients.  Glad to know there is a location near Bryant Park.  When I have to go into the city for work meetings I'm going to have to pick up dinner here on my way back to Jersey.

Delish!!  I highly recommend for anyone looking for healthy treats and meals in the city.

  6. I love this place. I just recently discovered that it's strategically located next to my gym as well as along my walk to work.

I have yet to try their healthy array of food options but have been coming here for the juice and booster shots! Since it's winter time and everyone on the bus/train is polluting the air with their coughs/sneezes, I feel like I need to bolster my immunity in a major way.

They have a whole bunch of pre-made juice/smoothie options ($11-$13 about). Green stuff, fruit stuff, sweet stuff, not-so-sweet stuff. Check their website for specifics. I grab whatever feels more nutritious for me that day. They are not made on the spot (The expiry date is generally about 2 days from date of purchase) but they do offer smoothies made there. I am just usually in a huge rush so grabbing something off a shelf is very helpful. It may not be as great as a fresh juice but it's still healthy and organic and definitely better than not drinking it at all.

I also LOVE that they have little health booster shots ($4) – wheatgrass, chlorophyll, an anti-fungal garlic/oregano mix, an immunity booster, ginger, lemon. and last but not least my new favorite – e3 live (algae). this stuff gives me so much energy, i love it!!!

Overall, my daily trips here cost me quite a bit. But I feel like if I don't grab something, I won't find time to eat my veggies and fruits and get my nutrients in…this is easy and convenient. Your health is priceless!

  7. I love this place and wish I could come here more often but it's 3.5 hours away.  I ordered the lite weight with a scoop of the dragon breath mix (ginger and turmeric).  It twas yummy with a strong kale flavor; not very sweet but I'm cool with that.  This smoothie hit the spot for a nice nutrition fix.
