  1. Standard sandwhiches.  I can't understand why the lines are so long for this and the Maiden Lane location in Manhattan when there are so many places to get a sandwhich.

  2. This has become one of my new favorite spots for lunch. I went in and had absolutely no idea what to get. I knew I was in the mood for a sandwich but not sure for what. I usually do turkey and cheese, healthy and yummy so why not right?

I was definitely overwhelmed with the menu. Not because it is endless but because the combinations are a little different and I panicked easy. I don't know why but I did. Anyway, I told the person that I was not ordering only my friend and thanks anyways. The associate responded "Not even soup?" He told me how they have good soup if I'm not in a sandwich mood. I told him I wanted a sandwich I was just unsure of which one to get and I did not want to hold up the line. He told me don't worry about the line and take my time. I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THIS.

He gave me his recommendations…which I didn't listen to and got the meatball original sub with marinara and provolone. AMAZING. The wheat bread was great. The sandwich was fresh. It was enjoyable.

I love the people who work here they were engaging and kind. I will definitely go back to try his recommendations now that I am feeling more adventurous and know the quality of their food.

    MUST GO!

  3. This was my FIRST experience at a Potbelly Sandwich Shop and trying out their food.

I had knew a Potbelly Sandwich Shop was coming to Downtown Brooklyn for a few months now and was excited to try it, since I've heard friends talk about it. I came on a gloomy and rainy Friday afternoon, hoping there wouldn't be a long line of customers.

The interior has an interesting decor. There's a lot of photographs of New York City & Brooklyn hanging up on the walls and the sandwich shop has a very comfort food feeling to it. It's very spacious, with lots of seating indoor and outdoor. The staff is friendly and cheerful.

For my lunch, I had a roast beef with provolone cheese and lettuce, tomatoes, and onion on a regular bread. The cost of the sandwich is inexpensive, but smaller than your usual sandwich. The sandwich was well composed, fresh, and tasty! The roast beef was tender and especially tasty with the provolone cheese. For a side, I had the coleslaw which was sweet and tangy! I didn't really want soda with my lunch, so I had an amazing Mint & Honey Organic Green Tea and it was just pure heaven!

Honestly, I feel Potbelly is a slight upgrade from Cafe Metro & Panera & Au Bon Pain which is within the same vicinity. All 4 of these places are well known for soup and/or sandwiches. However, Potbelly is a great alternative if you're looking for a simple. quick, and fun restaurant to eat.

  4. It's okay I guess. I got the chicken salad sandwich with everything on it. The fillings were pretty good for the most part, but the bread was too crispy/burnt on the edges. meh I like the chips more than the sandwich. If I had to order from a sandwich shop, I'd rather have Subway.

  5. It's become a tradition of mine Roast Beef ~ double the meat, provolone cheese. Add everything sans mustard.

I also think that their ice cream sandwiches are a great deal.

  6. A model of inefficiency.

  7. I pass this place on the bus all the time and never tried it. Today I stopped in around 12 pm and the line was crazy long but thanks to a waiter taking orders on the line, it moved pretty fast. I ordered a 6 inch tuna sandwich with pickles, tomato, swiss cheese, and mustard as well as a bag of Louisiana-style hot kettle chips. Meehhhh it was okay. I honestly could get a sandwich from the mom & pop bodega near me that tastes the same. I have to admit though, the tuna they used tasted so fresh. I have not had tuna like that in years. Anyway, the concept reminds me of Subway, just with a larger variety of chips and drinks. The music was pretty cool and I also enjoyed the vibrant colors of the place. Plus there were more than enough chairs to sit down and eat. Overall it has a nice vibe but when it comes down to it, its an average sandwich store with loud music and nice decorations. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

  8. I enjoy the meatball. You can reduce your carb intake by ordering it "thin." They essentially take out some of the bread. The hot peppers are very hot so order them on the side. The ice cream sandwich is everything but over 1000 calories, so yeah I'll pass. A great bite if you want something quick and delicious and ok that it isn't the healthiest. Also I paid $6 for my sandwich. Where can you get something to eat for under $10 these days?! Oh btw, the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is everything!!!
