Look no further for a delicious high quality fast seafood restaurant. My wife and I had the whiting fish and catfish and chips our first time there. The result: we went back the next day right after work for more. It's that good. We were talking about getting more all day so we did it.
I highly recommend you get the catfish. Place also makes a mean Mac and cheese side dish. We haven't yet tried other things. For example they have chicken too. But we don't doubt that everything here is really good.
The food here is high quality. The fish is breaded just right and not overdone. Also there is no greasy texture to the food, nor can you see grease on your fingers, which is remarkable for fried fishes. Very well done.
Lastly, the service here is great. Very friendly. And above all prompt! You're in and out in 10 minutes after your order as everything here is cooked to order. Prompt service in Harlem is a huge, huge plus as it's not common. You cannot go wrong at this place at all. Can't wait to go back soon.
Mehhhh indeed! nothing great (or close) about this place. They food is just pure fried fish with nothing to add or say about. Lack of flavor, kind of dry and the french fries super soggy.
We got the house special lunch platter which is whiting fish, bay scallops and shrimp. The only good thing was the fish which it was ok, the scallops were acid and uneatable and the shrimp kind of small and tasteless.
It's cheap… money wise and quality too
So I have seen so many so so reviews of this place and my husband and I are always walking past this place. I looked over the reviews and pretty much got the hint to not get it delivered or call in your order. So we dropped in on a Saturday night around 8ish.
The menu is pretty extensive and almost too much to select from. But from all the reviews i gathered the catfish, shrimp, and mac n cheese are good places to start. I placed my order with the young lady working there. I ordered 2 things of shrimp and Catfish with a side of mac n cheese. Our total was about 40 bucks. The food was ready within 10 minutes.
There are no places to really sit and eat your food so we took it to go. The shrimp was pretty good and seasoned well but not salty. The mac n cheese was pretty good and tasted homemade. The catfish did not blow my mind and was just okay.
I am sure my husband and I will be back for a quick seafood dinner to go in the future.
Two stars because the food they serve is well cooked and seasoned. No stars because they cannot handle delivery as anyone else that has tried, has found out.
I've tried the catfish, whiting, Mac n cheese, side salad, collard greens, yams, and shrimp. It was all tasty but you may not get your order if you use seamless or call your order in. Your only guarantee of getting your food and getting it right is to go in person.
Regarding the delivery: it was so bad that seamless decided to refund my money because they could not reach anyone with sense at the establishment. First delivery was ok but dishes were Mixed up. Second time, they never showed. Third time: there will never be one. They shouldnt offer a service they cannot execute.
