I have to say one thing and one thing only – CRAB MAC AND CHEESE $11……….. without the Crab $8………….. THE BOMB!…………. SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!! NOT KIDDING!
The Lobster is also very good – and pricey… The seafood is pricey period but tastes really good…….. So don't walk in there thinking you are spending $10 to $15 for your entire meal – if you are also including Lobster, crab legs, and a salad……
Also every thing is healthy – nothing FRIED!
Came here on a Sunday at 6:15p and the place is packed! A very good sign.
Ordered the signature dish -Crabby roll with spicy sauce. It was extremely good!!! Would order again and can't wait to try the rest of the food.
Stayed in Brooklyn in December and found this high rated eatery on Yelp. Place was clean and had nautical design theme. Walked in and the friendly staff immediately greeted and took my order. Of course, I had to try a couple of items 🙂
First, the Crab Roll. I was salivating when I saw it come out of the kitchen. It was stuff full off real fresh crab meat. I also ordered the Crab Mac & Cheese. It took a little longer because they bake it from scratch but was worth it. Piping hot, gooey tasty cheese w/ nice crust, and again, filled with real crab meat (see close up pic). The mac was big enough to share for 2 but I was solo so more for me…lol. Only wish the order of Crab Roll came w/ a side for the price of $13. The mac was only $11 bucks.
FYI, they don't serve fountain sodas here but offer homemade lemonade or ice tea and artisanal natural bottle sodas. I tried this Pineapple Coconut Nutmeg soda and it was delicious.
Nice and cozy place. Friendly staff, this was my first time there with my family. The lady who took our order made some suggestions and we decided to go with the crab roll with avocado and garlic butter. Also ordered the honey butter cornbread. We took a seat and waited for our order. It didn't take long about 15 mins. When it came and I took the first bite omg!!! The bun was so soft the crab meat was well seasoned!!!! The cornbread was sweet and heavy so make sure you save that for last. I ordered the lobster Mac n cheese to go because sitting there watching other people order made me want it too. But definitely going to come again worth it not to pricey but not too cheap. Thank me later
Stumbled upon this place while yelping for lobster rolls! When my boyfriend asked if I want to try their crab rolls, I said crab what?! I never heard of crab rolls before so of course I said yes!
We strolled in around 4:00 PM on a Saturday and this place was empty – I'm sure it was because their AC was broken and not because of the quality of their food! I slightly did not enjoy my ordering process as I thought the cashier was a bit rude. However, I did not let that ruin my experience here! We ordered two crab rolls ($13.00 each) and one crab mac n cheese ($11). My order came out to be a little under $45.00 and I think it was worth every penny!
The crab rolls are FILLED with crab meats!!! The order was so huge that the crab meat falls out of the bun every time I took a bite! If you don't believe me, just take a look at my pics! The crab mac n cheese definitely had the traditional cheesy flavor – although one thing I would complain about it is that it's not "crabby" enough. I wish I tasted more of the crab!
There are two additional things I want to compliment on:
1. Their bathroom is EXTREMELY clean! I was really shocked at how nice it was!!!
2. One of their servers (I forgot to ask for her name) IS GREAT! She had the nicest and most positive attitude! She packed our to gos with a smile and it just makes me want to come back here when I'm around the area.
Overall, I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back when they have AC lol.
I've been meaning to go here for months, but for whatever reason it hadn't happened. Until…..I had a lazy Saturday committed to Netflix, the couch and the potential to clean my apartment. This of course needed to be complemented by a delivered meal. And there is was on the seamless listing. Hmm I always envisioned sitting down inside the crabby shack and enjoying my first meal onsite, but the couch seemed like a great alternative.
Delivery was prompt and as promised which is great for a Saturday evening.
I ordered the crab roll and crab mac and cheese. Everything was very tasty – mac and cheese wasn't overly cheesy or greasy and I didn't feel as though I'd been duped on my crab portion.
Portion wise I'm happy that I ordered the mac and cheese to accompany my crab roll. A crab roll alone would not cut it.
I would definitely order from here again. Maybe I'll eat at restaurant next time.
Good food . Good atmosphere. Immaculate bathroom. Friendly service. The crab roll was delicious and succulent. The bacon with crab and avocado are perfect together. The macaroni and cheese with crab could be seasoned more. I added old bay when I got home. Will definitely recommend to seafood lovers.
Came here yesterday for dinner and although the air conditioner was not working it still doesn't take away from the quality of this place.
I've had The Crabby Shack bookmarked for forever and a day now and I'm so glad I finally made it here. I ordered the lobster roll, crab mac and cheese, and the crab grilled cheese (this wasn't for me I promise but I was hungry enough). The food was fresh, well seasoned, and just so good. The mac and cheese was cheesy and creamy with nice little "hints" of crab meat. I tried the crab grilled cheese and was like wow…that's brilliant! The lobster roll was hefty…I'm talking a LOT of lobster. I don't typically like lobster unless it is on a roll and I don't like it cold. The Crabby Shack chef'd it up exactly how I'd prefer it…warm and on a roll that has personality, not just those potato bread rolls from the supermarket.
Speaking of personality…the staff here is just as good as the food…warming and ready to satisfy your customer needs. The food didn't take long and before I knew it I was a happy customer ready to return here again.
