  1. kale salad and poke. sit outside and enjoy the weather, really friendly staff. proseccos and vodkas outside will make this meal complete

  2. Hands down adding this place to FAVORITE NYC RESTAURANTS!!

I came here after a Saturday morning Monster Cycle class, thankfully missing the brunch rush, my friend and I were seated immediately. The waitress was really attentive, and made really great recommendations for us…. so we went with what she said and had:

Tuna Poke- omg wow! Coming from a person who doesn't (normally) eat raw tuna, I couldn't stop eating this!! If rAwness makes you queasy like me– don't worry, this won't!! The avocado makes it SO enjoyable and the tortilla chip adds the perfect texture. Also, it's MASSIVE … A bit much to share between two people if you are also getting a meal after, oh well, YOLO. 😉

We both had the breakfast burrito and man was it GOOD! There is this smokiness to it, which I assume is from the chorizo mash? Not sure, but so much YES! I added a side of specifically crispy bacon.. And they did it perfectly! I forced myself to eat all of it because I just couldn't let myself walk away from such a great meal. Can't wait to try their dinner!

Also- their cold brew is to die for! ($5)

And the black/white/mint color scheme is my favorite. This place definitely lives up to and surpasses the hype!!

  3. Loved the tuna poke here but that was the only thing I loved. Ordered the fish tacos as well but was not too crazy about the combination of flavors. The atmosphere of the restaurant is super chill, I recommend going for a light lunch!

  4. Came here a couple a weeks ago, had the squid tacos which you don't see too often, they were pretty good, pesto sometimes is the only thing you taste, which was kinda the case here.

  5. Let's begin with the good news: The Reel Deal! First you choose your seafood from their daily landing then you pick a sauce (Harissa cashew, Red curry, Miso brown butter, Salsa Verde, and Coconut Cumin). Next you pick your sides of daily green, daily veggie, and grains. Seamore's is a very busy but the wait was not that long. They have a bar area and they have long tables that you share with other guest. The reel deal was imaginative and delicious! I would highly recommend it. Also Seamore's can get a little noisy from the music and other guests since you are sharing a table.

  6. Seamore's has a lot going for it. It's easy to eat here. It's airy, with large windows on two sides. It looks out at an active intersection on Broome Street, where the parade of people walking by is a show worth seeing. To the southwest you can see the historic old police headquarters (too bad there's a car park that gets in the way). The crowd in the restaurant also is worth seeing. It reflects the young demographic of lower Manhattan. So, it's a great atmosphere for dining–a good beginning.
In terms of dining, they have fish. Their formula is simple. It's called The Reel Deal. You get to pick from the catch of the day–usually consisting of three fish. Then you choose one of three sauces/toppings to go with the fish. Finally, the meal comes with three sides. No choice here–but they're always interesting and never disappointing.
The staff is super efficient and knowledgeable (they know the relative mercury levels of the fish). The wine list is well balanced and affordable. The cocktails are as good as most you would get at a cocktail bar. What more could you want? Yes, there are better seafood focused restaurants in the city, they have fawning waiters and white table cloths and they offer highly allocated, rare wines. But they're not as much fun, or well as priced as Seamore's.

  7. Justin took great care of us and made suggestions for appetizers and drinks. We stopped in here on the way to another reservation and enjoyed his suggestions and the atmosphere. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

  8. 3.5 STARS

Kitchen doesn't open until 5:30PM. We got here around 5:05 so we decided to get a round of drinks. Francisco our bartender was really awesome and made drinks catered to our preferences. We finally got seated at 5:30 and thankfully there wasn't a lot of people. Probably because it was raining today.

    PROS:
    – Sailor Jerry Rum Mojito Special (cocktail) $13 – After my mehh first drink, On the Southern Porch, I asked Francisco to make a mojito with Sailor Jerry Rum with a little something special. Don't know what he added in the mojito but it was pretty good. 4 STARS

    – New Amsterdam Gin & Watermelon Fresca (cocktail) $13 – very low alcohol content and very sweet. Great for lightweights. 4 STARS

    – Jack Rose (cocktail) $12 – my friend asked if they made Midori and Francisco laughed and said no. But he said he'd make something similar and it was actually quite good. 4 STARS

    –  Dogfish Tacos $15 – You get 2 tacos and the portions are pretty generous. The fish was fried but this was so good with avocado and chipotle mayo. This was my favorite taco of the two we tried. Eating the tacos was a very messy affair. I had sauce running down my hands when I lifted the taco off the plate to eat it. 5 STARS

    – Reel Deal – with Bluefish. The fish was very SALTY but the Lemongrass Aji sauce was the savior of this dish. The sides: the pickled vegetable was good but I had no idea what kind of vegetable it was. There was also the kale – standard fare. Last but not least, there was something that resembled a potato salad. It was covered with a white dressing and it was great as well. 4 STARS

    THE OKAY:

    – Poke: The tuna poke was mixed with avocado and ponzu and this included blue tortilla chips. I didn't really like this as I preferred salmon and the tuna poke here had heavy sesame oil coating. I did like that they paired it with avocado and ponzu. I'm not sure the tortilla chips was a great combination with the poke… 2.5 STARS

    – Crispy Squid $12 (shared plate) very SALTY but I liked the citrus aoili sauce. The sauce paired well with the calamari. We were going to get the curry mussels but they ran out…3 STARS

    – Grilled Squid Tacos $14 – The squid was not fried here. It was a little slimy rather especially with the pesto slipping all over the squid. I love pesto but I'm not so sure it worked that well with squid. Nonetheless flavor wise the pesto was good but the slimy texture feeling wasn't good. 3 STARS

    – Kale & Avocado Salad with Fish ($14 + $8 fish) – (walnuts, sweet potato, quinoa, honey, apple vinaigrette) great salad but I think whoever prepared the dish put a little TOO MUCH APPLE VINAIGRETTE. It made the salad a little too TART. I guess we should have requested them to have the dressing on the side so we can control how much dressing is put into the salad. 3 STARS

    CONS:

    – On the Southern Porch cocktail (Bourbon, Muddle Strawberry, Rhubarb, Mint) $14- I didn't like this drink. It was too strong for me. I asked for a sour drink and this was more Bourbon than sour. 1.5 STAR

TL;DR – get the Dogfish Tacos!
