“dont 4get to pick up some buns or some korean drinks off to the side.”

“I tried several and took home a few bags of frozen dumplings.”

“The vegetable mandoos were also very good, but just a little blend (probably because I ate the very flavorful kimchi mandoo first).”

  1. My husband and I stopped by while traveling from Seattle. What a great fine. Deliciously fresh dumplings. Great location. You can steam at home or they will steam for you and you can take away. We will be coming back soon.

  2. This is a legit spot for dumplings. Like Desiree D. said, this is a pick up place. They have Kimchi, Veggie, Pork, dumplings for $7-$9, freshly made that day. They also have refrigerated drinks in case you need something to wash down your dumplings. I'm not a huge fan of dumplings, but I picked up a package of Red Bean buns? 4 for $6, not too bad. And they were quite delish, not sweet, fluffy, and soft. Yum.

This was one of the places that I went to on our adventures in K-Town North Jersey. And I enjoyed my visit!

  3. Awesome and authentic korean mandoos and best in the area. But besides their mandoos their ddukboki is also one of the best compared to other boonshik restaurants.

We usually order the steamed hyoja round mandoos and also the beef and chives frozen mandoos for later.

While they have a variety of selection, the usual favorites like hyoja beef and shrimp dumplings are my favorite and are the only ones I order for take out.

  4. Dumplings, dumplings and yes, dumplings!  Dropped by to check this place out prior to the holidays because dumplings are perfect for almost any occasion.  Tried the pork dumplings and also the bao.  Really tasty!

The owner was super nice and took a lot of pride in his food.  I selected my choices from the counter and he asked if I wanted them steamed.  Presentation was very nice.  They experiment with different sauces and he suggested I try the wasabi.  It was very good … creamy with that good wasabi kick!  I will definitely be heading back here for the holidays …. maybe I will try and pass them off as home made (hehehehehe).

  5. This is the only place I'd recommend if you want awesome handmade mandoo/dumplings. It's hands down, the most delicious dumplings in the states- they also sell these to high-end upscale restaurants in the city which I can't name here as per the owner's request.
They're pricier but absolutely worth it. If you're getting one of the bento boxes, they'll steam it up for you. Ask them for their special wasabi sauce. Otherwise, they'll just vice you daikon and soy sauce.
Their frozen packages for home cooking is a best seller, with pork coming out as first choice for our family. I go for chicken or kimchi. It's not a sit-in place, so don't make a meal outing for this place.
I don't really like eating the ones they steam fresh everyday for take out. I prefer cooking it myself at home by pan frying it until slightly golden brown, then putting about a cm of water on medium heat until the water has seeped through (and repeat that latter step twice). It makes it juicy and just plain delicious!!
It's NOT GF, but I take out the insides now and use that in my cooking 🙂
The interior has also recently been redone so it looks much cleaner – the kitchen now sits behind the wall where the boxed food is.

  6. Delicious veggie dim sum!!! The kimchi and shrimp are also amazing. The owner is soooo friendly. I am so happy I yelped a dim sum spot and found out they were a mile away from my doctor's office! I hiiiiiighly suggest you go there, ask fresh dumplings awaiting you at the front be steamed, ask for their wasabi mayo long with the soy sauce, and meet heaven. Also, have heaven later by getting their frozen dumplings which are just as good and a chapter alternative. I think it's 30 pieces for $16 if you get frozen.

  7. Looking for cheap, tasty and filling dumplings in the north jersey area? Mama Best Food is deff your answer. DO NOT plan on taking a hot date here. This is strictly a pick up place. For around $7-$10 you can get 11 dumplings ready to go. Kimchi, Veggie, Pork and hold up…GREEN TEA! never in my life have i heard of them! The veggie ones are delicious and so are the kimchi ones. Love them so much you wanna take them home? Buy a bag for around $14 and you can.

dont 4get to pick up some buns or some korean drinks off to the side. Friendly staff & you can even watch the ladies make the dumplings right in front of you. what a process!

*they take credit & theres a parking lot&
