I visited 121 Fulton st for a Sunday brunch with a group of 5. It was simple to get reservations! The place was super clean and had a great bar feeling in there. Not too modern but not out dated at all!
We did the bottomless 25$ special for 2 hours. I can not share my excitement enough that they not only had mimosas and bloody Mary's but also bud lights!!! My boyfriend is a beer only guy so when we heard he could join in on the fun and keep the price low we felt we hit a home run… before we even tasted he food!
The group all had different food, and no one had a complaint. From the French dip to breakfast burrito to the Fulton ( a burger) everyone was happy and full when we left.
I can not forget the service!! They were a great team, we had Meghan and she did a stand up job! On the game with drink refills and gave good food recommendations when we were torn!
I was looking forward to an evening out with a close friend that I had not seen in some time…we made a few stops to make on this day but it seemed that we saved the best for last. My friend has been here before and had nothing but good things to say where for myself it was a first. But I too have nothing but good things to say. The drinks are excellent and the bartender was attentive and nice, and made great suggestions. The place it self is lovely, spacious and elegant. A great place for hanging out on a ladies night, I would recommend this place and I also plan to come back.
great brunch selection with breakfast and lunch menu available after 12 noon. service is great. food is tasty. kitchen is a bit slow to cook…maybe its just the brunch crunch time. there are two seating area, so a great option for large groups. have not tried the unlimited brunch drink, although it seems many other patron took full advantage.
pulled pork eggs benedict was super tasty…eggs poached perfectly. ahhh
Thank You 121 Fulton for a wonderful happy hour! My co workers and I came here for happy hour on a Friday around 5:00. Bar was full of people and the atmosphere was just perfect. The bar tenders were very attentive and there was no hassle on ordering drinks.Carina the event planner arranged everything accordingly for a big group of 15 where we were all able to drink and eat comfortably. We will definitely be back very soon!
Came here for a birthday party last Saturday night as the 1st stop of a nice longgggggggggggggggggggggggggggg and great night.
We had the back section closed off, velvet rope and all for the birthday boy and all of the party goers.
The bar was a typical Financial DISTRICT bar, all wood internal, stools and the game on.
Nothing super exciting about this place.
The Malbec was decent but the server was very slow. I went to the bar, only 1 bartender.
It wasn't late or anything, maybe around 9pm and it took me forever to get anything.
A five stars for their amazing service! I came here with a group of friends for a late dinner. The ambiance is very nice with dim lighting and dark furniture and not too loud music. Definitely seemed like a popular place for drinks after work (especially since it's in the financial district).
I got the Mexican burger which came with a side of fries and it was so good. The burger was juicy and huge and it had a nice spicy kick to it! The fries were perfectly fried and crunchy. My friends got the bbq taco and grilled cheese and they both enjoyed theirs too. We had zero complaints.
On top of the amazing food, service was one of the best ones I've experienced here in New York. Friendly and attentive waiters taking orders always makes you want to come back for more!
I was shocked to find this place completely HOPPING at 6pm on a Thursday. But just hopping in the lounge/bar area, not so much in the main dining area in the back. I guess this is another go-to spot in FiDi for happy hour.
For drinks, I had the mojito and the Fulton. The mojito was far too sweet. I generally have a very "girly" taste so I usually find sweet drinks to be quite pleasant, but this was so sweet that I could barely taste the other citrusy flavors in the drink. I would recommend skipping the mojito. The Fulton on the other hand is obviously one of the specialty drinks, made from a combination of cucumber, vodka, and St. Germaine. This drink is also pretty sweet but much more bearable than the mojito, and the cucumber adds a nice refreshing feeling. Beware, neither of these drinks are strong. I was drinking on an empty stomach, yet didn't feel too much of a kick afterwards. (Please note that this is also coming from a lightweight.)
As for bar food, I only tried the Parmesan truffle fries. They weren't super truffly but I liked the touch of Parmesan on top. Plus, they tasted pretty delicious after the two drinks.
Overall, this bar is just alright, not worth trekking out to unless you're already in FiDi (but then again is it ever worth it to trek to FiDi for fun?) and looking for a spot to drink at.
121 Fulton is owned by the same group (Paige Hospitality) that owns the Ainsworth, the Chester and the Windsor.
So, it's your standard, slightly-more-upscale, Sports Bar.
I'm not necessarily a huge fan of Paige's group of bars as they tend to:
– Get really crowded, especially during sports games
– Crowd tends to be homogeneous & boring, with douche-y guys
– Food is Ok, but nothing to write home about
– Tends to be on the pricier side for basic drinks and bar food
On the positive side, their locations have a nicer, more upscale ambiance.
My co-workers and I go to 121 Fulton every now and then after work, and is usually pretty crowded from 5-7pm or so, at which point it starts to die out and will be basically empty after 8pm. Just a factor of the Financial District which dies out at night, not necessarily because of the place.
Although we generally like 121 Fulton, we tend to prefer other places like Harry's, Malt House, Industry Kitchen, Trading Post, Ulysses, etc.
Overall though, I do like 121 Fulton more than the other Paige locations (Ainsworth) as it's slightly less crowded and slightly less douche-y, and generally a good spot for drinks and bar food, just don't expect to be wowed.
