I used to like this place…..but now compared to Coffee Bean on Quentin Road this place tastes like crap. Their yogurts have a foul aftertaste and I'm never coming back.
This is my second visit to 16 handles, and still feel the same lackluster as the first time, except this location is less crowded and a lot more seating
While I do love all the toppings this place has to offer, I am really here for the yogurt itself and most flavors I tried are lacking one or most of the characteristics (tangy, tart, sweet etc) I usually look for in frozen yogurt
There is nothing special about this place. The yogurt is overrated. Don't get me wrong, it's good yogurt but just soo hyped.
I had the pomegranate flavor with fruit on top. I like how you can sample flavor a before buying.
I won't go out my way to come here but definitely stop by in neighborhood.
Tried 16 handles in my neighborhood after having the one in east village, love that you can mix and match and get your own toppings as you like. The flavors are decent as well and they always have a quaint little crowd in there with music blasting
This place will give PinkBerry a run for their money! The verity of frozen yogurts and toppings is HUGE! This place is like crack and I'm not the only one who feels that way because I never came in there and found it empty.
Delicious froyos! Glad to know that this shop is also in this neighborhood, besides the main store being in Soho. Love the coconut flavored froyo with the coconut flakes! Yummo!
Self service yogurt stores are the new craze in NYC. I'm a huge fan of the concept as it enhances your creativity towards your palates. Unfortunately 16 Handles losses 3 stars do to the chemically enhanced tastes you receive from their selection of yogurts. I am not a fan of tasting GMO type yogurts. I mean if you're yogurts are already filled with crap ingredients, why not make your crap ingredients taste really good like fast food.
The place itself is very clean and there is a lot of room to sit down and enjoy your crappy yogurt. I just feel that the most important concept is to have a good quality food product to enjoy and it falls way down the charts in artificial taste.
I would investigate another yogurt joint to eat at since they are opening up quicker than Zumba dance studio's.
