“I usually get the fruity pebbles, mochi, yogurt chips, and depending if the fruits look fresh, i'll get kiwis, strawberries, mangoes.”

“Even tho they allow you to make your own and pay per weight, the line moves suffiiciently fast, too.”

“I do like that they give you several sample cups so that YOU can go and sample yourself unlike other froyo places.”

  1. LOVE 16 handles. Hit it up every single time I'm back in NY.  Favorite flavor of all time – graham cracker soft serve.  OMG so good….

  2. Best 16 Handles in Manhattan. I been here like 10 times and I came yesterday for National Frozen Yogurt Day 2.6.16. First 6oz is free and anything after is paid. My favorite froyo is the Euro Tart. I tried the pineapple and Taro flavor. This is the best time of the year. Free froyo

  3. Only dessert place that was open late last night so we stopped in to cure our sweet tooth. They only give you two tasting cups which was probably meant to prevent sampling too much but I just wound up reusing the same cup which probably isn't sanitary.

    Sangria flavored yogurt is amazing!

  4. This will probably be my shortest review but I was not impressed with this particular visit. My husband and I stopped in on our way home from the bar and was like there's always room for Froyo…. Plus he's an addict for their Mango flavored Froyo… However, we get there – its crowded, not new – go up to the register to ask for a sample cup and the cashier acts like she didn't even hear us – I guess digging in the tip jar and counting the money at the register would be more distracting for me too!. And I guess after she put her jar down she must've of seen us in her side vision because she put the money in one hand and handed us the sample cups with the other while never taking her eyes off of the money, CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS BEST!…

The store was dirty, if you frequent here, especially on weeknights and in the evening on weekends, you know that's not new so you temporarily block that out your mind… However  what does kill your visit is when you see two machine out of order and someone else pour a cup or chocolate milk! That's just a no… We sampled the mango and the salted cookiedough and ran out as fast as we could – just imagine what the condition of the topping bar could've been.

  5. The consistency of all the flavors was very watery and by the time I got to the register everything was melted. Long line and 3 people working but only one open register.

  6. What did 16 Handles do to merit all these 5 star reviews?!

Perhaps I've been overly spoiled by West Coast yogurt joints…because I was not the least bit impressed by the selection of flavors or toppings offered here! There were quite a few dispensers that were out of order and plenty of empty toppings containers as well. The only flavor that I had any stomach for was the tart flavor, which was fine..but the fresh fruit toppings were nearly nonexistent – unless you include the really dry-looking mango.

The vibe on a Saturday night was way off as well – way too rowdy for my liking. I'd rather go to the Red Mango closer to my apartment complex.

  7. You can get a sample from the front desk to try the different flavour before committing. That was what I did, and I tried the peanut butter, rice pudding cinnamon, and apple cinnamon.

Unfortunately I didn't like any of the one I tried so I didn't end up getting any.

Might come back another time to see whether there are others that I would like better. But tbh, it could be the frozen yogurt that I dislike… 🙁

  8. Pretty typical froyo place. The customer service was kinda blah but they were cool with giving you plenty of tasting cups. The birthday cake and Nutella flavored were good and standard. They have these artisanal flavors which were really good–salted caramel chocolate chip cookie dough is definitely something I'll come back for. The topping selection was standard–nothing fancy or special. I liked that they had whipped cream to add!
