2 Bros Pizza Plus

“The pizza here is definitely on the upper end of the 2bros spectrum, but there are better dollar slices to be had in the area.”

“It's been ages since I had it since I can't turn down a meal of jerk chicken, collard greens, and beans and rice, all for under $5.”

“And they have other foods like fried chicken, French fries , macaroni and cheese , jerked chicken for really good prices ..”

  1. Come on, $1 pizza?  Really how can you go wrong.

  2. Ok, let's get this straight – no, it's not as good as Joe's, John's, Di Fara, Grimaldi's, Parsy's, Certe, Artichoke, etc., but this is a different animal – for $1 a slice, the quality is excellent.

If you're in a rush and just need something to fill you for a short time or if it's 4am after drinking all night, this is the perfect spot.

You can't even buy a pack of gum or soda for $1, so to be able to get a decent slice of pizza for that price, I'm sold.  And I checked the flour bags, cheese and tomato sauce and all look good quality, so nothing sketchy going on there.

Don't come here expecting for it to change your life or to get a gourmet slice – see it for what it is, somewhere fast, clean, efficient and tasty, all for only $1.

  3. Always amazed by the $1 cheese pizza and the way it can satisfy, despite having no toppings. Canned sodas are also $1. Where in NYC can you get a $2 meal? Only 2 Bros.

  4. Lunch time is a good value for plentiful food.

Cheap eats can be found at 2 Bros Pizza Plus serves hot food during the peak weekday lunch hours.  One baked chicken breast, leg + French Fries totals UNDER $5.00.

Note:  I highly do not recommend to patronize 2 Bros Pizza Plus for any form of pizza.  It has no taste, bland and bears no substance!!

  5. 2 Bros Pizza. You are one of the BEST aspects of this city. Cheap, quick pizza. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. Apparently you can get other stuff here like chicken and other cheap foods, but I just like the pizza. If I had my way, there would be one of these on every block. Which, in some ways, there are, but not this cheap, and not this quick.

  6. This is not your average 2 Bros. It's better.

Not better pizza per se, but there is a little something in the name. 2 Bros Plus goes beyond the cheapo pizza norm and brings in a whole slew of other wonderful options not typically associated with a pizza joint. Collard greens? Yes. Rice and beans? Yezzir. Mac and cheese or jerk chicken? Totally. All for a $1-2 each? Seriously? Seriously.

The food isn't going to be mind blowing of course, but the recession special prices say it all. Who can complain when for $10 one can score a helping of beans and rice, two drinks, 4 slices of pizza, candied yams, stew chicken and a baked potato? Anyone who complains of New York prices ought to come here. This might even be beyond hobo pricing it's so cheap. The friendly guys behind the counter might be inclined to agree.

If taste is everything, you might want to stick with the pizza. I've had a pretty mediocre experience with the other foods, especially the veggie rice, broccoli, and yams. The jerk chicken can be solid on some days, but 2 Bros in all food facets might function better as drunk food than it does for any desperate dinner or lunch option.

In this economy, I'm just happy it's available. And open late.

  7. When you see a sign that says $1.00 pizza; your first thought would  most likely be "that must be some  disgusting pizza." However, I assure you that you are surely mistaken if you thinking that about this place!  First off, it is in a great location, I have stumbled upon this place quite a few times over the years. For the price, your actually getting decent pizza! Grant it, obviously it isn't going to be the best in the world but totally worth it if you do not want to spend a ton of money and want something to eat that will satisfy your appetite.  Lines move quick and it is especially convenient if your on the go. I personally never knew they served other hot food until I read other reviews, so now I'm curious and will be back to try that. This place hasn't seen the last of me!

  8. Fine $1 pizza, it is all about the price not the quality.  The line is long and it moves fast, they do an incredible business here.
