There are 4+ other wine/liquor shops within a mile in this area, but I think this place offers more extensive options of value wine. The owner brings different types of wine every week, and I always ask him to recommend one of the new arrivals. Delivery service is also available – until 11pm and minimum $15.
FAIL! This guy just lost some of his only customers. I do NOT appreciate being scammed.
The boyfriend stopped in for a bottle of wine this evening and there happened to be a tasting going on. Per the owner, this was an unbelievable $42 bottle of wine on "special" for $21. We'd better act quick before it sells out! This was a serious high-pressure sell and the boyfriend picked up a bottle. This happened to me once before in this store which made us curious…Is he full of baloney? So we looked up the list price of the bottle when we got home. The exact same bottle is being sold at other wine shops in Manhattan for as little as $11.
