A small little bakery, but with many delicious looking options. The pastries themselves were large and fresh-appearing. Service was fast!
My friend decided to get the Tres Leches cake. He is a very seasoned TL cake eater, and agreed that it was one of the best he's had in New York. The cream is light on top, the cake is pretty dense and didn't get overly spongy even after 1 hour in the plastic container. The condensed milk at the bottom was amazing, even drinkable if you wanted to get a little sugar high after your cake.
The pizza is pretty good, unless you want anything more than a plain slice or pepperoni (they do not have much else on hand), the Dominican/Spanish pastries are also decent. Staff are friendly and prices are really cheap. It used to be a hangout for the drug dealers that "worked" up the block, but it seems this has not been as big of a problem the past year or so. (It was not their fault) Hot sandwiches are also pretty good and so is their coffee and oatmeal (done Dominican style)!
