It's a freaking restaurant in an airport. So I don't know what your expectations are honestly. I will say, it's pretty good stuff. We got to the airport a little early, and in a rare circumstance, my wife was craving a burger. That never happens, so I had to take advantage of this miraculous opportunity and get some burgers. We stopped here. We got and shared the chipotle burger. The burger was delicious. So were the fries. The service was just fine, realistically, no complaints. You're still in an airport, so it's noisy, and bustling, and everyone is in a rush. But considering all that, this place isn't bad. And speaking from experience, neither are the other two restaurants in JetBlue's terminal 5. I'm impressed all around.
For airport dining, this was pretty good. The service is pretty slow but they more or less warn you about that when you arrive (they ask if you are boarding in less than 30 minutes. If yes, you can't eat here.)
We had:
– Chicken Caesar Salad
– Hamburger
– Parmesan Truffle Fries
– Chicken Fingers
– Turkey Burger
All in all it was pretty good.
There aren't too many good airport options and for once, I wish they had a few chain restaurants in there versus all of these other restaurants.
We looked at the menus for all the other places before settling for burgers at 5ive Steak. We sat down and ordered just in time because the restaurant got slammed and the waitress was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. But I added an extra star for her because her service was still pretty good even though it got hectic. I even saw her running across the way to grab sushi from Deep Blue for one of the tables (I guess that's where the sushi from the menu comes from).
My burger was a little overcooked, but still juicy so I ate it. I added the truffle option for my french fries, which was an additional $3. They were okay.. pretty soggy and not crispy at all.
My friend got the bison burger, which was very undercooked. But we were so hungry, she couldn't wait for it to be reheated, so she picked out the parts that were too rare for her.
Our food went to the table next to ours first, but good thing we noticed or else they probably would've touched the food with their bare hands.
Came here for a drink to pass the time while waiting for my flight. They had one of my favorite types of prosecco' so that was awesome. Didn't order any food but what I saw looked delicious. Service was relatively fast — if the food weren't so expensive I would have definitely ordered some. But if you want to escape from the fast food horror of the rest of the airport this is the place to go.
Waiting for a flight at the Jet Blue Terminal and fortunately there are many food options. We wanted to eat a sit down restaurant. The first sign that service would be slow was when the hostess asked us if we had more than a half hour. The hostess was also the waitress and bus girl btw. Indeed the time for the meal to arrive was 45 mins. Burgers were pretty good, served with fries. Little greasy though… Too much bread… Should have had Cheeburger Cheeburger instead….
I never give out 1 stars, but this place did everything in it's power to drag it out of me. Let's start with the food. There was a mix up on my order, but that aside you are not going to get what you think you're ordering. What do I mean? I ordered a run of the mill egg breakfast, I was under the impression that there was going to be toast included and there wasn't. The potatoes were cold. The eggs tasted like they were powered. Yuck.
As to the food mix-up, that was partially my fault. I should have said something when she set down the dish and it wasn't correct. I didn't because I don't like to make a fuss and I needed to eat and get to my place. (Yes, this is in an airport terminal). Unfortunately, halfway as I scarf it down, the waitress appears with my dish and they couple next to me didn't get to eat. It was an awful situation.
Lastly, staff. I felt like I shouldn't have been there, like I was a complete nuisance. Just no, not worth it. Eat somewhere else if you can.
It was pricey, and it was slow. Came here with a bunch of friends before our flight departure; and have been kept waiting for a longggggg time. Apparently the sangria was way too sweet that I could barely finish…
Happy to be back. Food still delicious and staff still fantastic. This has proven to be our Go to Spot when traveling on Jet Blue.
