  1. This place has a very prominent hispter vibe which is a little more unusual for the Cobble Hill area. The restaurant has an industrial vibe with hugely tall ceilings. They have a small lunch and brunch menu with very tasty items. I got the truffle grilled cheese and tomato soup and my friend got the mac and cheese and my other friend got the reuben. The grilled cheese was amazing! Great flavor with the cheese and the caramelized onions with a hint of truffle oil. The soup was quite delicious as well. The mac and cheese was rich a creamy and delicious. I did not try the reuben but my friend was it was amazing. During the week this place gets packed with people who do work on their computers during the day. Prices are pretty comparable to most places in the area. They also have an event space upstairs. Scheduled throughout the month, they have live music and other events. I can't wait to come back and try the brunch!

  2. I had walked by 61 Local tons of times before finally stopping in for drinks and snacks a few separate times. I was very pleasantly surprised at what a lovely, inviting space it is, and my happiness only increased when I tried the delicious local wines they had available (some tasty red from Red Hook Winery, and a sparkling white) and shared an amazing cheese platter and , fresh biscuits with spicy honey butter with friends. The food is really much better than it needs to be, it's almost worth coming here just for those biscuits! My only (slight) disappointment is that they don't offer happy hour deals, but honestly, I'm more than willing to pay full price for the awesome local libations they have.

  3. Came here to see music upstairs but ended up getting food, too. Had the beet burger, and I have to say it was the best beet burger I've ever had. Not as much of the dirty taste of the beet, but more of the savory and sweet part of the vegetable. Paired with a buttery and perfectly crisp ciabatta bun and pickled onions, how could you go wrong? Served with a healthy portion of nice strong potato chips (with delicious ketchup on the side,  actually I liked it with the chips) and a homemade pickle (with an incredible kick to it).

A little price-y for the portion size, but because it was just THAT good, I went up to 5 stars. I want to say a lot of their ingredients are local….

This place is beyond chill and the folks who work behind the bar are never in your face. I would come here just to hang and get a beer for that very reason, but I just wasn't drinking tonight. Way too cool for the hood, imho. Also the events upstairs are so fun, check out the calendar if you have a moment!

  4. Super cute/hipster bar in Brooklyn with family style tables (my fav). The bacon popcorn is pretty good too!

  5. Really bad experience here. Bad service, bad prices, lumpy cream in my coffee and they basically shrugged it off. Wifi is iffy. The space itself is nice and big, but when it filled with children running around, it was extremely loud. Not my favorite, but I gave another star because my friend who suggested we meet there really loves it and said they have interesting classes and things. But I probably won't return.

  6. Fun place!

Here for a birthday gathering a few nights ago and I must say this is a happening bar! Crowded? Yes! Lots of beer and other alcohol to choose from? Yes! Despite what my photo implies (it looks like a shaky drunk took it)…I was not drinking alcohol. In fact, I ordered the Kombucha and liked it so much that I ordered it twice!

  7. A hidden gem off of Smith Street.  This place has high ceiling and wonderful space.  You aren't allowed to come in unless you own an Apple computer (Macbook), sorry :(. We counted 30 computers here.

They have a cute little bar where you order all the food and drinks, there is no table service.  Menu is pretty delicious and has something for everyone! I had the avocado toast and added some hot sauce which was fantastic! The lattes and bloody Mary's didn't disappoint either.  I wanted to try their pop tarry which looked delicious but I will have to go back another time.

Really cute place, definitely more of a workers atmosphere, not good for a group UNLESS you reserved a table, which you can totally do no problem. I only had breakfast here and would come back.

  8. Great vibe in this coffee shop/restaurant/pub! I came mid-morning on a Sunday for a post-wedding brunch (there were a few trestle tables reserved with brunch-y items provided), and it was a very chill, easy-to-circulate-in sort of venue, with plenty of space around the tables to walk, congregate, chat, and switch. The food itself was great (especially enjoyed the yogurt and homemade granola, with which I created my own parfait with fresh berries) and the coffee strong. If I lived nearby, I'm sure it's somewhere I'd hang out often.
