  1. I can only write from my own experience as a dine-in customer. I scrolled down and saw many low reviews based on their delivery service; I am friends with Jillian L. and she told me, in person, about her bad delivery experience before I even knew she wrote a Yelp review about it! But, seeing as this is three blocks east of my apartment, I doubt I'll order and stick with dining in. Honestly, my experience as a customer was pretty top notch and the food was great!

The beau took me here last week for my birthday dinner. (…two weeks too late, but I'll forgive him. Ha!) Immediately, we were greeted by our waitress, Bridget. For 7 p.m. on a Saturday, the crowds were quiet, but by the time we left around 8:30, many more patrons were trickling in. Bridget told us about the lounge scene later in the evenings. We started off with her suggestion for frozen strawberry margaritas, and they were fantastic! They were freshly-blended, which was nice to see. You could tell the difference in taste over, say, the slush that you get at Blockheads. In addition, Bridget was a sweetheart and save us a free tequila shot. BOY, did I feel that about 15 seconds after I took it. 😉 Also, of note: there is Happy Hour on Saturday nights until 8! Awesome! We got four margaritas in total, and it was $20 for all of them. Score!

As for the food, it was fantastic! We shared the guacamole with chips, and it was obviously house made, made to order. Though the tacos looked tempting, I wasn't ordering tacos for my birthday meal, especially if I was being treated. We both ended up getting the churrasco with rice, beans, salsa, and cactus salad. I'm typing this review and thinking about how much I'd love another one, right now! The meat was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful.  It can be easy to overcook a skirt steak, but they have it nailed!

I enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the staff. I rarely eat at any places east of Broadway in Inwood, because I don't really have any reason to, but you can bet I'll be coming back! I have a whole myriad of tacos that still need to be taste tested by me. Haaa.

  2. What a gem! The service and food could not be better.
I was a little bit annoyed about the policy of having to get 3 of the same tacos, since I wanted to try 3 different ones. But I got over it quickly after my first bite of the Al Pastor taco. Heaven!
Next time I will just have to get the seven taco option. That one allows you to get a variety of options.
