  1. A good little go-to spot for a quick bite or sundries.  Nice selection at the deli counter and good selection of hot food and salad items.  I have stayed near here a couple of times and it's a good place to grab a decent lunch and take back to the hotel room when working in the middle of the day.

This week I picked up a Turkey Roll and a salad (by the lb) that was mostly fruit, berries, and melon.  Also grabbed 2 soda's a cup of ice (50 cents).  total came to about $12.

Sandwiches are not Carnegie Deli quality, but good enough.  and the fruit/berries were nice and fresh.

  2. This is your typical deli in Manhattan. A bit on the pricier side, but they do have a great buffet lunch at $6.99/lb. As you enter, there's the cold foods, mix your own salad, cut fruits, jello, sushi, and LOTS more. Then as you go further in there's the hot foods, pasta, rice, noodles, dumplings, vegetables, fish, chicken, ribs, and all that good stuff. You'll also find soups, burgers, sandwiches, bagels, coffee, desserts, etc. What's really great is that they also have. All I can say is that they have A LOT of choices. Fresh fruits here are expensive. They do sell a nice variety of flowers too.

I really like how they make their pastas, nice light taste, a bit of oil, and the right texture and chewiness. Their mix vegetables are really great, cooked to the right softness. Steamed dumplings are just awesome. They know how to cook food. However, their chicken noodle soup is a bit oily and salty, but I think that's just how it usually is and they use spaghetti noodles. They have French bread cut and individually wrapped on the side, do remember to pick one up. Awesome breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot. I did see a sign that said 24 hours.

  3. As noted in the other reviews, this is a good one-stop shopping spot for basic grocery needs, coffee, deli, and decent hot/cold buffet offerings.  Prices are reasonable, but some of the grocery items carry a premium over other grocers like Morton William and Food Emporium.

For breakfast, bacon, egg, and cheddar (I always request cheddar over American) sandwich and coffee can be had for $4.50.  Most places charge extra for the sliced cheddar, but they toss it in for free here.  Definitely a nice plus for the breakfast sandwich-goer.

Nestled right on the corner of second avenue steps from 42nd street, their location makes it a good stop in my morning commute, and I recommend to anyone else situated locally.
