  1. If you are looking for a solid slice of pizza while you're on the move in uptown then stop here!! Their pizza is great and they have an amazing deal! 2 slices and a drink for 2.75. Open 24 hours!

Service isn't bad and you can even stand and use the counters on the side to eat there! Stop by early in the evening or real late at night and get hooked up with some seriously good pizza. It definitely hit the spot for me and I'll go back anytime I'm around.

  2. EATING ON A BUDGET?
    DRUNK?
    CHEAP?
THIS IS YOUR STOP.. don't come here expecting to have OMG this is so great experience. BUT IF YOU VALUE, VALUE … this is your spot.

TO THIS DATE: still my favorite $1 slice. However, their constancy/quality control is quite slaccccccking. Some days, you'll get the perfect crush( not burnt not too soft ) OTHERS you'll get burnt!

But, still you can't beat THE TASTE OF VALUE lol. They taste like value and that's great.  They lost a star because of quality control …. BUT I STILL COME BACK. Value is a b***h!

Their red bull energy drinks are $2… you've got to be uptown to get that deal LOL and I'm from uptown so I know.

    Snapples $1.50
    BOttled sodas $1.50
    Water $1.00
    Can soda $1.00

  3. It's not gonna be the greatest slice of your life but it is a GREAT SLICE OF PIZZA!! Combine that with their quick service and great price (especially by NY standards… U can't beat it!!

I personally love their mushrooms… Make sure to add them to ur next slice/pie!!

  4. How can you not love New York's famous 99 cent Pizza. Actually it's $1 but still. A little bit of Pizza, a little bit of culture, a little bit of New York.

  5. This is the epitome of New York pizza. Go in, hand over a Washington and a slice of hot, cheesy pizza you will receive.
Don't judge the place by its name!  Just take that slice, fold it,  and chomp it up. No regrets!

  6. Didn't enjoy my dollar slice. It wasn't bad but the main complaint was I could not taste the mozzarella in the cheese, no cheese taste. It was fine, meaning lightly gooey but no flavor. The crust barely passes as pizza crust. It was slightly passing as a decent slice. Maybe it was the night or the slice.

Pizza places should have pepper flakes, it is the heart of bringing a cheap slice of pizza to life. This 99 Cent Fresh Pizza place did not have any in sight, maybe it did. It had a red sauce bottle, I didn't try to see what came out of it, maybe that was it. Why do they keep garlic powder in a sauce bottle?

It seems this location is a frequent stop even at 11pm, lots of people grabbing a slice. $2.75 for two and a drink. $8 for 18" pie. No real complaint for a quick snack coming south on Broadway.

No place to sit, no restroom, just two aisles of staring at the wall, outside at the bit of traffic or your fellow economically savvy pizza hungry craving diner.

  7. Believe the hype.  The power of the dollar is still strong ('Murica!)

I fancy myself cheap eats and this $1 pizza spot goes the distance in comparative quality to many other spots I've dined at.  Here, the crust is fluffy yet slightly crisp kind of like a toasted Elio pizza slice (Do those still exist?  Is my age showing?)…. but in a good way?  For what you pay for, the sauce and cheese come through in a very satisfactory way in terms of quantity and quality.  If you need a quick fill-me-up, there are always 3 guys making pies and one nice young man serving them up with the quickness.

$2.75 gets you two slices and a can of high fructose corn syrup.
Heads up… Those are not (all) sauce bottles, squeeze them onto your slice for granulated garlic or red pepper flakes.
Limited, 10-person standing room, so eat quick or walk it over to the park and FEAST!

  8. It's not a bad slice of pizza, but don't expect something crazy – which of course is the point. A quick, cheap slice of pizza and a place to hang out for a few minutes. The place is small, and with there being MANY places to try pizza in NYC, I don't think I'll return.
